Second time back to this hotel and absolutely love the place the staff are really nice and welcoming and helpful nothing is too much trouble

Stayed here in May this year, and if I could give zero stars I would do so. Room was dirty with hairs on the bed which were not ours, we were bitten and felt our skin crawling while in bed. When we mentioned this to management, we were met with a rude and unhelpful response from the manager. When we went home, it transpired that the bedbugs from the hotel had come home with us. This infested our home. Despite making an official complaint, to this day we have not received any money back, simply a hollow “we are sorry you feel that way” which is not even an apology. In my opinion, it appears they lied about having called pest control. Our holiday was completely ruined, and this is the worst hotel my partner has visited in 45 years. A real let-down from the Crieff Hydro group of hotels. Please see attached photographic evidence.

This hotel could easily be a five star with just a few tweeks. The staff work incredibly hard and each and everyone of them were happy, polite and friendly. Location and grounds great. Plus a bonus the use of spa and pool facilities in a sister hotel.

We were allocated a room directly above function room where there was a wedding reception being held. I hope they had a great time. In our room you could not only hear the band you could feel it! Had it not been for Christina, the noise would have ruined our stay. She found us a room at other end of hotel and we didn't hear a peep. Unfortunately when we showered in the morning there was no hot water in shower. Left with impression that the hotel was short of staff and that the pricing structure trades off being part of "Hydro Hotel" chain and consequently do not think the prices are value for money. During our trip north we stayed in part of the Macdonald Hotel and had a better experience for half the price. In fairness to the Group, we have stayed at Crieff Hydro many years ago with our children and Grandparents and had a fantastic time.

My husband and I have just had a three night stay here and it was wonderful. For starters, Peebles is a wonderful town to stay in and contains everything you need. The hotel was amazing. The staff were always helpful and gave us 100%, even when rushed off their feet. The food was incredible - my husband and I normally go out and try different places when we stay somewhere, but we ate at the hotel every night and were blown away by the food, the Sea Bream was on point! There were some quirks but they were all easily overlooked e.g. slope in shower which meant my husband (6ft) had to crouch a bit to shower, but it wasn't a real problem. Breakfasts were great and we loved that they have a separate area for lunches/cake and teas in the day time. Overall, we LOVED it and felt sad that we weren't there for longer - but we definitely will be back. The Tweed River and Valley were spectacular - just go.

We were disappointed with our stay at The Park and normally stay at The Hydro but were unable to get booked in. Unfortunately The Park does not have the same standards as The Hydro!
