Juliantos by the Sea

Best location within the Island if you look for sleeping quite and stay on the coast. You can also snorkle in.front of the hotel and it's plenty of restaurants and bycicles' rent around. Breakfast is all right.

I had a lovely solo stay at Juliantos by the Sea and felt inspired to share my experiences with others who may be thinking of booking a place on Gili Air. There are lots of options for accommodation on the island, however this place was the perfect balance of welcoming, but also so peaceful, spacious and really well priced. Also, you couldn’t ask for a better location, as it’s close enough to any amenities you may need but also far away from any loud parties or late night revelry. I was able to do my work from my room which is really well set out with a little desk and great aircon. The Wi-Fi was excellent and I felt I could be productive and creative after having my daily sunrise walk, followed by swim in the tidal pool and afternoon snorkel where I saw turtles every single day! There is actually something magical about this place, not just the island itself which has such an easy-going vibe. Maybe it’s the friendly staff or the lovely hosts who seemed to intuitively look after me as a solo female traveller. I found this place to be very down to earth, from the local food on offer for breakfast, lunch and dinner to cheap scooter and bike hire to get around the island. Although I loved my solo time here, I think this would be a lovely place to come with family or friends, due to the location, price and beautiful genuine service. Thank you so much for having me!

Very nice and quite location. Great rooms and very friendly staff. We prefer the sunrise side of the islands for it’s quietness and beautiful beaches with a sandy sea bottom. The swimming pool is very disappointing. It is salt water and very slippery. As you have the sea in front of you with salt water a nice swim in the pool with sweet water is preferable. Next to that, the salt water stands still in the pool so we assume this as not very healthy. In case the swimming pool would change to sweet water we definitely would come back as we are fan of the islands and this accomendation

Located on the sunrise side of the island, Juliantos by the Sea is a short walk from the harbour and easy to get to. There are 2 types of bungalows , I stayed in the basic and this suited my needs just fine with A/C , fan & a fridge . There’s also an outside bathroom . Awesome banana pancakes and homemade sourdough bread in the morning along with a cute little bar. If you don’t like big fancy resorts this is beautiful & simple perfect for relaxation 5/5 for my needs. There’s also bikes to hire, snorkelling gear and an onsite spa which I highly recommend. Located on the waters edge where you can go snorkelling with turtles ..

Wow. Just wow. Juliantos exceeded our expectations for a recent family holiday. The villas are beautiful, tastefully furnished and are clean! The grounds of Juliantos by the Sea are lush and well maintained and it’s situated right on the beach front meaning that we could all snorkel to our hearts content. (Heaps of colourful fish, coral AND turtles.) We didn’t even feel the need to go out on a boat to explore the other islands as the reef right out the front was so good. Staff are very friendly and professional. Helping out with organising for our washing to get done, kids to be babysat and anything else we wanted! These guys also provide free snorkeling gear for guests use which we found great! They also have bikes to explore the island. Juliantod is located about 7mins walk from harbour which means it’s a bit quieter than some Other resorts which again, suited us! The island is very safe and the kids (aged 17-8) enjoyed exploring by themselves which is something we wouldn’t let them do in Lombok or Bali. Can’t wait to go back’

Great place, excellent location, view, nice garden and very nice staff! The massage was perfect. Breakfast was delicious. The booking was made directly. We were looking for the most beautiful part of the beach. The room had a fridge, bottled water, coffee and tea. The air conditioning worked perfectly. Absolutely perfect.! The rustic feel of juliantos and the amazing staff and tj’s bar made our stay just perfect! ( amazing barman who went above and beyond for the whole family). We were all left feeling welcome and truly relaxed. We only had a two day break, I wanted to stay next year I will book two weeks here.

Great hotel right on the beach. The staff and owners are really friendly and helpful. This is a fantastic place to relax on the quiet side of the island. In easy walking distance of a lot of places to eat. I loved getting up and watch the sun rise over Mount Rinjani from the hotel beach.

If you want to feel at home and have privacy this is the best place on Gili Air. It is a spacious complex with solidly built rooms so you can not hear your neighbours or the call to pray. Each room has a Verandah or balcony with views out to the sea. There is a beach bar and a new spa for a massage or pedicure while listening to the waves. The staff are happy and friendly. You will soon relax and slow down to island pace. The snorkelling is to die for straight out in front. Sun rise is gorgeous and worth getting up at 6am. Afternoon naps are normal for guests. Forget winter in Oz, come to Juliantos for a month.
