Honestly one of the worst hotels I’ve ever been! The told us we would stay in a bungalows and when we got there the showed us a room up on a hill that we had to get there with our car every day which was really tough, there was absolutely no light at nigh as we were trying to get in the room and the building was horrible like it was falling apart! Although the inside was renovated I have no complaints about that but everything else was terrible!!! We had social tourism tickets that why ig we were put there but no one told us didn’t inform us abt staying up on a hill before we booked the room! Be careful

What a fantastic little hotel. Warm friendly atmosphere. Lovely staff. Can’t fault them. The hotel and rooms are kept spotlessly clean. Our room was cleaned every day by a lovely lady. It smelled and looked great afterwards. Towels and sheets changed regularly. The restaurant is great. Lovely buffet breakfast that sets you up for the day and food is good and reasonably priced. The gardens and pool area are beautiful. There are a few tavernas close by. We liked Aegli up the hill. The local cafe is good as well. The hotel is on the number 6 bus route which runs between Corfu town and Benitses so really convenient. We hired a scooter to explore the Island which is gorgeous. The hotel is near Mouse Island and you can walk to Corfu town over Pontikonisi bridge. It’s about 3.5 miles and takes you past Mon Repos where prince philip was born. Worth a visit. Admittedly it’s near the airport but we enjoyed watching he planes come and go. If you’re a Durrells fan you can see the Strawberry Villa from the hotel. Anita is very good value for money and comfortable, has a nice pool to enjoy, off road parking, friendly and helpful staff. The 3 rooms were comfortable and two had balconies to use. The bathrooms were compact and the toilet is in with the shower which is unusual. We stayed for 2 weeks and enjoyed the Greek night and used the restaurant a couple of time for lunches and dinners were we found the food to be very reasonable and good. The omelettes were particularly good. Breakfast buffet had a good range of hot and cold options with fresh juice and coffee available. Now for some context… the hotel is over the water from the airport so you will see and hear planes taking off/landing. This did not bother us and it was interesting to watch. The hotel like many is on the main coastal road to which there are resort towns in the south, therefore the road is busy at times but quieter at night. You do need a car and they offer cars hire (did not use) as the area does not have much around and walking is not very practical. There’s a bakery and supermarket close by but like most of the roads on Corfu there is no pavement/sidewalk, there is also a very nice restaurant in the other direction. There are plenty of very good tavernas and cafes between 5 and 20 minutes drive.

My boyfriend and I stayed at Anita Hotel in May 2023 and it was excellent! Hotel was very clean with spacious rooms. The hotel has a large outdoor pool with sun loungers. It is located just a short bus journey to Corfu Town (10min) and the bus stop is right outside the hotel. The location is very handy to get into corfu town and also close to the Green Bus station which is where you can get buses to other areas of the island. The best part about the hotel is the staff. The staff were so helpful giving us any recommendation we asked for and always making themselves available to help explain transport options to various locations across the island. The hotel staff also organised for us to go on a boat trip to Paxos & Antipaxos. The restaurant is nice and they organised a Greek dancing night with 3 course dinner. Would definitely recommend to stay here!

We had a fantastic week holiday at Hotel Anita - the staff were lovely and willing to help throughout our stay. The location was quiet and endearing, close to Corfu town but slightly away from the hustle and bustle. The food and drink too were surprisingly good, while any request was never too much hassle. Would highly recommend and we will be planning a return in the future. The only point of mention was that there is a bus stop outside the hotel which takes 10 minutes to reach the old town and reasonable at 5 Euro daily unlimited bus tickets (from a vendor) although sometimes the buses are infrequent - you can scan the QR code at the bus stop for real time updates. We would recommend hiring a car, at least for a couple/few days to visit areas in the north/West of the island which are stunning.

I came on my own to Corfu for two weeks at the start of the season in early May 2022. I’m possibly thinking of retiring here and wanted to see how it had changed since my last lovely visit many years ago. I wanted to be quite central and near to town so that I can easily travel the whole island. When I’m travelling like this I like small, unfussy, nice, friendly, owner-managed accommodation. (If I travel with friends we tend to hire a villa.) The Anita hotel fits this brief perfectly. Lots of love and care and attention to detail has gone into this place. Everything works – the Wi-Fi is the best I’ve experienced anywhere that I’ve stayed in a while and I haven’t yet had to use my own mobile data. The bar/ restaurant is delightful and the chef is lovely. My room is spotless and a lovely lady visits daily with a mop and a smile and changes the towels everyday too. Everything in my room works- no dud lightbulbs! The décor is plain, bright and fresh and there’s a lovely big balcony that in my case faces east and south and overlooks the immaculate rear gardens and infinity pool. (It’s been a bit chilly the first week in May so have yet to actually use it.) The swallows love it and are constantly active – buzzing my balcony and skimming the pool to drink in the evening. The bed is lovely and firm and I drop off really quickly and sleep well - which is rare for me. Yes, there’s quite a busy road outside which is the main coast road down to Benitses and beyond and the airport across the lagoon provides fascinating views of comings and goings but neither are that intrusive even when using the balcony and because the airport is so unbelievably close to the town centre and the surrounding residential districts it’s pretty much the same for many folk staying close to town – and I actually quite enjoy the background buzz of it all and which lessens during afternoon siesta and into the evening. There’s a Blue bus stop almost right outside which you can use for town and local trips if you need to or want to leave the car behind and an unbelievable amount of supermarkets wherever you go with a couple of decent small ones for basics within a few minutes walk. I would definitely stay here again without hesitation🥰

We stayed at The Anita Hotel for four nights. Our room was upgraded to a family room. The owner, Alex, his family and staff could not do enough for us. They even cooked me a separate vegetarian meal each evening, at no extra cost to our half board included in the price. A special mention to Spiros in the bar and Lisa on reception. Great location for Mouse Island and buses into Corfu Town. We will be back.

Just got back from spending Greek Easter at this lovely hotel! The hotel is very near Corfu Town just a short bus ride away. The rooms were lovely and very clean! The pool is spotless and a lovely area to sit and relax! I have traveled around Greece on many holidays over 40 years and met some lovely family owners (as I prefer small family run apartments) I truly have to say that the owners, Aleko and Irene are, as my title says, “simply the BEST!!” They go above and beyond with their hospitality 100%! Alekos mum is a lovely lady, she offered me her jacket to go into Corfu town one evening as it was a bit chilly on a night, what a lovely gesture! All the family have a great sense of humour, I had lots of laughs with them all! My son and his partner came along with me on this holiday (they usually stay in posh hotels) I have changed the way they will book holidays now as they have never experienced such hospitality with this lovely family! Thank you so much Aleko, Irene, Alekos mum and all the lovely staff. You gave us all a holiday to remember for ever! Love Lynda, Stephen and Carly
