Hôtel Mercure Périgueux Centre

They have an ideal location in the heart of the town, a short walk from the medieval core. There are 10-12 parking spaces in an courtyard parking area available at a nominal charge on a first come first serve basis. There is a friendly and helpful staff, decent breakfast and clean and somewhat updated rooms. Bravo for good lighting in the bathroom, a rarity in France, decent rainwater shower and comfortable bed. The closet, and area, such as it is and mini-mini deskette and a small strip of horizontal panel under the flat screen television are a lame attempt to use some very limited space. I don;t know what makes it a Prestige room, but I am glad we didn't have a Regular one which has to be even worse. It is an old hotel, drab on the outside and somewhat drab on the inside. But it is clean and trying to upgrade a bit. A decent sized elevator is a plus. Other than a total revamp, I suppose we and Perigueux will have to make do. We all deserve better and MErcure and Accor know how to do that.

The hotel is centrally located with convenient onsite parking. Rooms are compact but modern. A good, well located property with everything you need. A good choice and convenient to many restaurants. There is also a nice breakfast selection.

It’s little details like only having paper cups for making coffee in, that lets a Mecure hotel down. Other than that, great location & helpful staff-especially when finding somewhere to park in a maze-like city, clean comfy room & a great shower….I just felt it lacked a bit of charm & why, when you can buy a coffee & croissant in the city centre for a few euros, would you spend 17 on breakfast here?

Receptionist was charming and smiley , I was upgraded to a junior Suite , so well equipped , a 3 minute walk to the old town, Breakfast just complimented the whole stay !! Keep it up please as you’re doing a great job 🌷

As usual the staff was very helpful and friendly - thank you all for making our stay so enjoyable. Although the breakfast is slightly reduced due to the corona measures, it still offers a good selection.

Je suis satisfaite de mon séjour, la chambre est super, bien équipée, avec une bouteille d’eau. Je suis arrivée vers 19h30 fatiguée de mon trajet et l’accueil a été chaleureux, j’ai pu me faire livrer par le room service un plat chaud dans la chambre ce qui est confortable. Le petit déjeuner est copieux il ne manque rien. Je reviendrai sans hésiter. Il y a un parking souterrain juste à côté de l’hôtel qui est très pratique.
