I’d been using this hotel in the past during business travel stays. I’m back to this hotel again recently after 8 years and Covid-19 in 2020. Comfortable hotel stay and the Breakfast cafe was beautifully renovated. Still can recognize quite a number of old staff faces. Food quality is good. Short walking distance to mall. Super convenient. Will definitely choose back this hotel again …

Positives:
A great hotel to stay to get away from the Bukit Bintang jams. Conveniently connected with 1Utama, which has all sorts of restaurants and shops.
Hotel generously placed 2 rooms side by side for our family.
Requested ice bucket to the room which came so quickly.
Negatives:
We stayed at room 2119 for 3D2N. When I first stepped in, there was a dusty and damp smell. The smell got better when we left the toilet doors closed, but were subjected to smelling it in a more concentrated form when in the toilet.
Our check out time was at 12PM. Usually on checkout day, there is no refreshing of room. On the morning of check out, we went out and returned at 11.30AM. We found one of our room was refreshed, and our items and grapes in the fridge were thrown away. Liaising between the reception and cleaning crew could be better.

Location & Amenities:
We loved the hotel's location. It's conveniently connected to the mall, making everything easily accessible by foot. The restaurant was also fantastic, offering a wide variety of cuisines, from Western dishes to local specialties.
Parking:
The only downside was the parking service. While the cost is reasonable at less than RM10 for 24 hours, it's still inconvenient and can affect the overall vacation experience. We believe the hotel management and The Curve should consider offering complimentary parking or more flexible options for their hotel guests to enhance their stay.

I feel like Royale Chulan is loosing its touch. The hotel us big and at a great location. However l, i feel like the maintenance is poor. The room looks majestic as always but the furnitures can use some polish and sorts. Its really worn out. And the hallway is poorly ventilated and smells wet. The tv in the room is also really small and maybe can use some update. Nevertheless my stay was good and the hotel just needs abit of update.

We were pleasantly surprised by the grand and beautiful lobby, and our rooms that were actually service apartments. We had a small kitchen & the room was relatively spacious. Everything was new and you can even chromecast onto the TV which we love. They had a gym and a pool on the 39th floor which was amazing. Their gym is well-equipped and had ample equipment that were up-to date.
However, we just had 2 issues during our stay. Upon checking in, our room had a trail of ants, to which front desk attended to by sweeping them away. Throughout our stay, the ants kept reappearing but it wasn't too horrible for us.
On our last night was when things got worse. We had been out the entire morning, when all of a sudden we came home to a giant yellow SOLID blob in our bathroom sink. It had also emerged from the drain next to the toilet bowl. We were so confused as to where it could have come from. We asked front desk for assistance but it proved difficult to remove. They surmised it could have possibly been something emerging from the piping.
They suggested changing our rooms. Considering we had to leave at 7am the next morning and it was already 11pm at that point, we found it to be a hassle. We still hadn't packed our stuff and it was so inconvenient that this had to happen to us. Otherwise, the stay would have been a 10/10 for us because the location was near all the hip areas!

Room and amenities were fantastic. Clean and comfortable room. Hotel staff friendly and efficient.
I had earlier check in which I was very thankful for. However, the room given was the wrong category.
Had to get staff to deliver the new room key and transferred my stuff.
The room flooring was not well maintained and had gaps in between.
I would suggest better maintenance of the rooms.
Other aspects were fine. Would likely to return.

Good sized gym at the top floor with a good view. However, there were signs of aging in the amenities. The towels were not soft and fluffy as they should be fitting of a five star establishment. AAN NEEThis service apartment is in Empire City. Newly opened. Location is good as near to Petaling Jaya and it is easy to get Grab. The waiting area is B3. The studio unit is complete for a short stay with a basic kitchenette. There is a fridge but it wasn't connected to a power socket so it was not usable. For toiletries, there is only shower gel and shampoo. The shower area is next to the toilet bowl & there is no partition to separate them. The shower pressure is good. The towel is clean. The whole place is clean. The mattress is comfortable although a bit stiff and the pillows are comfy too. One pillow per pax.
The whole place is full of high rise under development but it wasn't noisy. The building itself is 39 floors with 6 fast lifts. On Saturday, there was a crowd waiting for the lifts and the same when we checked out on Sunday. All 6 lifts serve all floors so those of us staying on the lower floors had to wait quite long to get a lift down during check out time. We had a few worried minutes when the lift wouldn't move down after it stopped at floor 5. Someone told us over the intercom to push the doors when they are closing so that the doors would be closed properly so two guys did that. The lift began moving down but due to the peak hour, it stopped at every floor & the two guys would have to help push the doors close every time as the doors were closing. This caused all us anxiety. I hope the management will look into the problems.
I was told to contact the customer care through WhatsApp if I need help but they aren't helpful. The services management company, Flash unfortunately is offering guests money rewards if they give 5-star reviews meaning there will be fake 5-star reviews.

RRenan GWas at this hotel for business trip for 2 nights and my review as follows: 1) Location: It is in the neighbourhood of Bandar Sri Damansara, not that difficult to locate using waze but the surrounding of the hotel is currently construction of the new MRT line. Having said that, despite the on-going constructions, roads remain clear and easy to drive. There is also proper indoor basement parking (few levels) and thankfully the parking are not tight. It was easy to turn and park. Not too far from the hotel, there is two huge coffee shop selling various hawker food and there is also a stretch of halal warung (within 1km drive). Grab food and food panda delivery service are also available and quite a lot of choices too. So, overall, i think the location is ok for this hotel. 2) Lobby and Check in Lobby is nice with high ceiling. Check in was fast and being a weekday, there was no queue at all. I like the fact they placed two containers of plain water and mango juice at the lobby. Guests can help themselves with those drinks whenever at lobby. Just some suggestion, maybe the hotel can put in few slices of lemon to the plain water container. This will look more classy in my opinion. 3) Room 1305 (Suite Room) Being Accorshotel member, I was upgraded to the Suite Room. It was spacious with living room. The mattress and pillows are very comfy especially with a layer of mattress topper. Bathroom is the usual Ibis concept. It was modern and nice with rainshower. Maybe my only comment is the frosted glass isnt really frosted as one can still see the shadow of the person inside very clearly. It may be akward if you are staying with a colleague. I suggest the hotel to put another layer of frosting for all twin rooms (as these rooms are usually for travellers who arent couple/business colleagues). Anyway, I did have a good sleep at this hotel. So the room are value for money. 4) Wifi Wifi is free and easy to connect. Speed is ok and consistent. 5) Buffet Breakfast Surprisingly for Ibis standard, the buffet breakfast is quite good. There are a lot of selections daily such as Nasi Lemak, noodles, chee cheong fun, porridge, cereals, salads, fruits, bread & pastries, western option like baked beans, sausages, samosa, dim sum, hash browns etc. They also offers egg station services. They also have coffee machine with selections including latte & cappucino. Quite impressive. For improvement, I think the noodle soup corner should be replaced with something else as it was not a popular choice or maybe the noodles are just not presented properly. I think just replaced it with mushroom soup would be better. The juices also are not chilled enough on my 2 times breakfast at the restaurant. I strongly suggest to put in few slices of lemon into the plain water container - it will be refreshing but most importantly, the drinks/juices should be chilled properly. If not, it wont taste good. Should ready 2 shower caps for the guests. Just in case 1 is not in good condition, we still have another one for replacement. In my case, the rubber of the shower cap somehow is not in good condition and luckily I bring my hair clips with me. Unfortunately i forgot to take picture of rhe shower cap.

The air conditioner couldn't be adjusted to 16 degree celsius? 22 degree celsius is a bit warm.

GGypsophillaaThe place is a bit difficult to find since there are constructions still ongoing, entered the parking lot and got scolded by the rude foreigner guard as i did not stop the car for him to get my name which is not stated earlier. Otherwise the room is spacious and clean except for the mouldy fridge. Smart TV with netflix is a plus point. The bed seriously need some adjustment perhaps with mattress topper as its not comfortable at all. Other than the rude foreigner guard and the bed, i would say its a fair stay with the given price.

DdyhxIt's essentially Airbnb style apartment though I booked through Trip. Self check in and out process which they gave clear and detailed instructions and the team was pretty responsive via WhatsApp.
Note that they do not provide any disposable amenities so bring your own toothbrush/toothpaste. And own hairdryer too. They do provide hand soap, body wash and shampoo.
We got a 2 bedroom apartment, which we realized was a duplex apartment only when we got here. So one of the rooms is upstairs where you'll need to go up 1.5 flights of stairs. Each room came with a queen sized double bed that was firm and 2 towels. The room above came with an ensuite bathroom inside the room, while for the ground floor room, the bathroom is outside the room. Bathroom was spacious with a standing shower.
Our apartment was on the 25th floor that had a great view of the city, and you could see as far as Genting when the weather is good.
The swimming pool at the rooftop was great too, odd shaped but on one side it's a full lap length, there's also a jacuzzi at one end.

It's old and has alot of character(s) The cleanliness is not bad but you can definitely see the age showing through the apparent stains and cracks littered around. Checking in was quick albeit the lack of air-conditioning upon entering. Entering the lift felt like going back in time. The top floor ”P” is doesn't really stand for (P)ool rather is a ”wellness centre” with ”massages” for RM98 with the option to have said ”massage” in your room. Do what you will with that information. The floor which I was on smelt like a smoky pub. The room itself smelt fine and was actually pretty nice and had a vintage ambiance with the mirror and painting along with the light fixtures and wood trimming. My room had a window which couldn't be opened but still allowed sunlight thru. The air-conditioning is also dated but it was cold enough. The beds were clean but I did find a strand hair which wasn't mine 🤣. Toilets were not bad. The place is old and is definitely in need of refurbishment but for a place to lay your head and have some shut eye it's alright. If you're germaphobe it's probably out of the question.

AAlfredo KEverything is in good condition, enjoyed my stay due to near to every facilities. Toilet is clean, but the pillow and bedsheet have stain. Location is near Sunway Pyramid and food shops.
Strategic location with lift and water purifier machine outside the room. The environment of the hotel is good, the price is affordable, the surrounding area is very convenient, there are several supermarkets, and the price is cheap. There are restaurants next to it, McDonald's and Burger King. There are foreign currency exchanges in the nearby streets, several Chinese restaurants, pharmacies, clinics... everything you need for life is available.
Very comfortable sleep, clean, complete security system, key card provided, free drinking water, both hot and cold water, next to the hotel there is a Thai restaurant. Malaysian food, Chinese food, Japanese food within walking distance.
Fast check-in and check out with deposit fixed amount of MYR 50.00. Aircond is very cold and fan is provided too. Toilet has slipper and shampoo too. Clothes hanger and water container with cup provided too.

KkyieRoom is comfortable but TV box is not functioning properly, it will shut off automatically after few minutes later.......
Shampoo n body shampoo is not provided for us... luckily we brought it.

While the location is excellent, being conveniently close to public transportation, several issues detracted from the overall experience. The pillow had an unpleasant smell, the corridors were dirty, and I even noticed ants around the cups, which raised concerns about cleanliness. Additionally, the hotel's response time via WhatsApp was slow, making communication frustrating. Despite the great location, the cleanliness and service issues need significant improvement to enhance the guest experience.

RRelax437021.The towel and quilt is not clean, I got red spots on my whole body from the first day.When I checked out and try to negotiated this case with staff, at that time I didn't wanna anything but a say. They showed non respect attitude, they don't care about the case and they 100% don't want to be responsible. After stay I went to hospital, doctor said it was because I used unclean towel. It was very severs, so I can only ask sick leave for 1 week from work. Because the attitude and responds I got from hotel, this time I asked booking.com help me to go and negotiate for me, but the booking get the same answer, the hotel don's not possible to open the door. 3. Extremely low cost performance! The price I paid doesn't equals the room and service I get. Strongly don't recommend!!!!! 1. The towels and quilt sheets of the hotel were not clean and I developed a red rash after the first night of my stay. I tried to communicate with the staff and their supervisors on this matter when I checked out. I didn't mean to pay for it, I meant to say it, but the attitude they gave me from their staff and supervisors was that they didn't care what happened after I checked in, and they didn't want to take any responsibility. After the trip I went to the hospital and the doctor replied after the diagnosis that it was caused by the use of the hotel's dirty towels. Because the rash was so bad, I was able to ask for a week's sick leave and it had a very big impact on my work. After the doctor's diagnosis, I communicated directly with the hotel before, and the hotel gave a disrespectful attitude. This time I let booking.com come forward to help me communicate this thing. The result was the same. The hotel was completely irresponsible. I said that it would strengthen health management. I was very disappointed with this sense of responsibility and hygiene of their hotel staff. 2. The room was very, very small. Even if you bring the boarding box, you can't open the door when you open the boarding box. 3. Very low cost performance! Highly not recommended!!!
