A Traveller's Palm

The room was very clean and neat. The service was excellent and professional. The atmosphere was very must like home. Will definitely recommend to other people to visit and to enjoy the good friendly service.

The service and the hospitality at the place is very good, it is a home away from home. The Owner/Manager is very friendly and always gives good service to her clients. I would recommend it to anyone.

We went as a family with 4 people. In general we try to spend moneynat our travel and activities, less at our stays. A Travellars palm is a very nice place to stay to visit the Kruger. Very friendly owners. Nice rooms with a good amount of space, nice beds, a very nice garden with a swimming pool and table tennis. What more do you want?

We had a wonderful, relaxing weekend at the Traveller's Palm. Friendly staff, peace, quite and a great gateway. The bonus was the guest house being close to the Kruger Gate. We will definitely, be back. Thank you for the warm hospitality.

The room was very small but adequate for a stop over but I did expect a little bigger. Was also clean and we were not at all cold. But it doesn’t really feel like a “guesthouse”. A) it seems more like they just built some rooms in their backyard and accommodate people for extra money - there is no breakfast option etc. but mostly B) the hostess was really not friendly and did not make us feel welcome at all. She just stood leaning against the counter with her arms folded when we arrived. She didn’t come greet us, introduce herself or make us feel particularly welcome. In fact we felt decidedly unwelcome and that we were an unavoidable inconvenience. The only hospitable thing she did was tell us where we could have supper in town. If you want to be in the hospitality business you need to be hospitable and make your guests feel like “guests” in your guesthouse.

The location of the area was very convenient. The area is very tranquil. The birds were tweeting in the garden. The not warm / not cold , but just the right temperature pool was the highlight of my stay. I will definetely visit again in the future. The host and the stuff were very friendly.

Great overnight stopover on way to Kruger National Park. Rooms are very comfortable and clean. Pool available & free wi-fi on site. Close to Phalaborwa KNP entrance gate and all local amenities. Highly recommended.

A Traveller's Palm was very helpful and reliable when I booked 4 rooms but wasn't able to pay in advance in their system: I was assured that I could pay on arrival :-) The rooms were personally decorated, clean and everything was top top - including wonderful homemade breakfast in the garden. We also got some good advices on our bird watching in Kruger - and when one of us forgot something at departure, the owner immediately went to the Kruger park gate to hand it over to us ! We will definetly return and send other guests to this quiet and familiar stay-over in Phalarbowa.

My family were so impressed with the place and especially Marly that made it extra special and accommodated them in everyway. thank you so much, A Travellers palm is definitely recommended and will always be our place to go in Phalaborwa.
