We have stayed in one one-bedroom suite as a family with 2 kids for 15 days between 26.01-10.02/2024. We are very glad that we have decided to stay at KATA (instead of Patong and even Karon) and we have booked our family holiday in CENTARA KATA RESORT. It is correct that the hotel needs renovation in certain areas (about other comments) but it did not cause any downside for us. The room was nice and everything was functional in the room, the pool was very nice, and the restaurant&services were great...In short, Everything was perfect for us. If we go to Puketh again, we will stay in the Centara Kata Resort for sure.
And one note for the Hotel manager from our stay; In the morning of February 8th around 2:15 am, I had to go to the reception and ask for a doctor for my son. The receptionist called the hotel doctor and I decided to take my son to the Bangkok Hospital upon the doctor's suggestion. When I asked help for with a taxi from the receptionist in charge, he said there was no taxi in the hotel. I asked him to call for a taxi but he said he has not any number to call. As a result, I had to carry my son (he is 45 kg and I am 50 years old) on my back from your hotel to Kata Beach ( about 1 kilometer) as I had seen a taxi station there during the day. There were no taxis around of course. I was lucky to come across a kind Thai person there who offered to arrange a taxi with her phone application ("inDrive") and the taxi arrived in 4 minutes. CENTARA must not allow such incidents to happen again to anybody. This is unacceptable without any excuse.
