Vista Suites Pigeon Forge, SureStay Collection by BW

The hotel is a little older and shows it's age. The staff was awesome. Convenient location. The hot tub was amazing.

Location was great next to local attractions walking distance from distillery and food. Wifi is terrible. Wifi does not reach inside the hotel room. Breakfast is not the greatest. Regular powder eggs with soggy biscuits but fresh ready to make waffles.

I googled everything about Pigeon Forge except our hotel. I later found similiar comments as our experience with this hotel. It is filthy and doesn't deserve 1 star. of 5 rooms in our party 3 had to move to other rooms because of broken equipment. 1 missing toilet seat, 1 water in shower wouldn't turn on, 1 air conditioner didn't work. We had visible bugs and I think bed bugs too as I have bites. Our bathroom door was out of alignment and wouldn't shut. a day or two into our stay we found that if we picked the door up we could get it to shut. Food area was a mess. Literally the health department needs to visit this place and shut it down. our rooms were never made up, we had to pick up towels, TP and anything else that is usually provided in the rooms at the desk. Garbage piled up so people were putting it in the hall. I specifically asked to have our rooms made up two times but they were not. I will have nightmares about this hotel. Real embarrassment to the Best Western name.

Rooms were musty, dirty, and littered with bugs. There was also a dead roach in the bathroom. Do not stay here! The hotel smell musty and saw dusty along several surfaces, along with cigarettes and garbage littered along the outside perimeter.

The luggage carts look like they belong in an auto shop. They appear to have grease stains. I don’t think it transferred to our luggage. A small thing, but it gets worse. The fitness center: It does have a good set of dead weights. No weight machine – this is not unusual. Neither treadmill worked. The seat adjustment mechanisms on the stationary bicycle were broken as were the foot pedals, rendering the bicycle unusable. The elliptical was not even plugged in, and therefore could not be adjusted. It can be used as is, such as it is. As an aside, the ceiling of the fitness center has water stains, and some of the mirrors are busted. The breakfast. Typical “scrambled” eggs, sausage, waffle makers, milk, coffee, mini-muffins, and bran flakes. That’s it. No fruit, yogurt, grits, oatmeal, or anything else. The hotel is on a hill, and at least some of the rooms have a great view and balconies. The staff was friendly and helpful. I will not be staying here again, and would not recommend it to anyone.

Will chalk this up as one of the worst hotel experiences! Rooms were filthy! Could not walk across the floors without feet being black! Pool was unclean and smelled of straight bleach. Manager almost got in fight with a guest. Will not be back!

Sat. June 15, 2024. I have held off this review waiting for a resolution from the manager. There has been no effort on the manager's part to resolve the issue. The details, (upon arrival), 1. no desk staff, sign said call this number to get the attendant, finally got attendant who said he was not authorized to access my loyalty account, sent us to a king bed room, couldn't open the door, attendant came up after I went back down to desk, and also couldn't open the door, said the batteries in the lock needed to be replaced. 2. Sent us to another king bed room. Got door opened. 3. room issues, 50 minutes from arrival, finally got into room, the room had not been cleaned (hair in shower and basin, both hair types from previous guests represented, used soap bar from previous guest in the shower, only 1 glass (plastic) in the room for 2 guests, on a counter outside the bathroom we set down some of our things and found that they stuck to the counter, counter was sticky like fly paper, obviously not cleaned, freezer in the fridge was packed full, completely, with ice as it had never been defrosted, 85 degrees F in room when we arrived, no TV channel guide, remote didn't work. 4. Only 1 of two elevators in the building was working. 5. At this point, I decided that we would not be staying at this site. We took luggage back out to car. Went back in, after about 30-45 minutes in the room, to check out. I have never had this experience at any hotel of any brand. I was instantly verbally assaulted by the manager, who screamed in my face asking several times if I had ever owned a hotel. He proceeded to ask me questions. Each time as I attempted to respond, he again cut me off, screaming in my face. After several minutes of this extreme abuse, he said he was going to charge me for a night's stay. At this point, all I wanted to do was escape from this horrid experience. I have taken up this issue with several contacts with BW head office. Finally I was told to contact my bank's credit card dispute department, which I did. I was told by my bank that resolution could take up to 3 billing cycles. I'm still awaiting a resolution. needless to say, DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL. The manager's, hopefully unique, skill set enables him to completely ruin your vacation in very short order. I am still in disbelief about this episode. I have the receipt from the manager clearly stating that he check in AND check out dates are June 15, 2024.

BED BUGS!!! Had a 5 night stay at this hotel. Found BED BUGS after family members were complaining of itchy bites, found them in the bed they were sleeping. Checked out early and the hotel still charged us for the full stay. Complained to Best Western customer service and after 3 weeks still have not received any resolution. DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL.

Horrible. The smallest bottles of shampoo and conditioner and body wash I have ever seen. One bar of soap for 3 nights. The door knob in one room literally came off in our hand. Didn't swim in the pool. You couldn't even see the bottom of the pool it was so disgusting. The "hot" breakfast was a joke. You had to literally ask for what you wanted. They only brought out enough food for one person at a time. The guy working was nice and would bring you whatever you asked for. I think he was very over worked. Trying to keep the breakfast area and work front desk and clean up all at the same time. I don't know why this hotel hasn't been closed down. I know it can't possibly be in code.
