Hotel Planamar by Escampa Hotels

We have really enjoyed our stay during April 24. Location is amazing, right on the seafront. Hotel is very clean and their cleaning staff clearly work very hard. Bathroom and room are left spotless and fresh every day, corridors are mopped and floor to ceiling glass windows are sparkling throughout hotel, leaving crystal clear views of the sea. Staff are very pleasant and welcoming regardless of shift and greet you with a warm smile every time you pass. Breakfast buffet has huge variety of hot and cold options and a friendly chef will cook eggs exactly how you like them with a friendly smile. Coffee and hot water with tea assortment is help yourself out of machines. Dinner has good variety of options. Staff in the aiguanarina restaurant are super friendly, polite and efficient. The chef will also cook a selection of fresh fish and meats to taste in front of you. We really appreciated the extra little things that make a difference such as having a copy each of the room card so we could go about our day separately.- Luna at reception even labelled the numbers on for us when we asked, so we could distinguish between key cards, which was super helpful. This is very helpful if you have teenagers who need a room of their own down the corridor but you need to check on at odd times. The Wi-Fi was also excellent (unlike in many hotels where you cannot really stream videos without it buffering) and the free safe in the room to lock away valuables like passports and devices is a plus ( other Spanish hotels we have been to charge extra to use this which is off-putting and penny-pinching) The decor of the hotel is modern, freshly done and tasteful, the beds are great. Shower is great. Noise is minimal. Clientele at this hotel are older people, the odd athlete looking to do some training on their bike or run and the odd family with younger children who are well behaved. It was less noisy and more relaxing than in other bigger hotels we have been to where we have been disturbed by drunken shouting in corridors. If you are looking for a quieter hotel with civilised clientele, this is a good bet. The rooftop sun beds are amazing. We enjoyed the sun up there- great place with an amazing view to curl up with a book. If you’ve forgotten a book, head to the bookcase by reception where you can borrow a book from its shelf. There was quite a selection in different languages and genres and we liked how it contributed to re-using paper books and the environment. Special mention to Luna and Borja at reception who were super helpful and welcoming and to all the cleaning ladies who do a wonderful job. Also thank you to Oriol, Edgar and the young lady at the aiguamarina restaurant (didn’t have a name badge) who were also super welcoming and efficient. We will be back !!!

Check in was hard work as only one person the desk so it took over 30 minutes. Also, there was a small drop off area and involved blocking two cars in. Receptionist was very friendly and helpful however. One thing which I did find odd was that the hotel states it has parking which it doesn't..... its 300m away and is an additional cost. A fantastic view of the beach on the roof and nice pool.

Excellent hotel. The rooms are lovely and the staff friendly. Good amenities and value for money. The food is good and plentiful. I visited for the triathlon which starts 50m from the front door. They provided breakfast at 5 for the triathletes. That was outstanding service and consideration. There is a great bike cage to keep your pride and joy safe. Absolutely brilliant stay. And roof top terrace and pool are great for relaxing. I didn't get round to a post race massage but it is available.

We had an amazing stay at this hotel. Its location is perfect, its extremely clean, the food is excellent but its the superb staff that makes this hotel such a great expierience. I noted that there are some poor reviews on this site which i cant understand. Its a great hotel and we will be back next year for certain!

I made my checkin at 1:00 am and they gave me a room, as soon I woke up they made me move out from the room stating that I should be downgraded. No superior room, no sea view. Rude receptionist

My wife and I spent 5 days recently and we were very disappointed. The wifi signal didn't reach our room and despite our complaints to reception they didn't fix it. Furthermore, the toilet and shower doors didn't close properly and the rooms are so small that you don't even have space for your luggage.

I have stayed two times at this hotel, once in Sept. 2020 and again in May 2021. The location is excellent. It is very clean and well furnished. The staff also are very friendly and helpful. I was eating dinner alone and the waiter jokingly sat down at the table and called another waiter over to take our order saying that he could be my date. LOL. The location of this hotel is very close to restaurants and shops as well as right on the beachfront. My only area to recommend for improvement would be the breakfast...and this is difficult I realize due to covid restrictions. However, the hotel needs more staff working during breakfast to avoid long lines and wait times for food. The workers were clearly working very hard, but there were just not enough of them.

Publicidad Engañosa. Las fotos que publican no se corresponden a la realidad. El chico de recepción, un poco impertinente y con a sudor. Mala imagen de entrada!!!🐯 La habitación, supuestamente remodeldas, son grandes aunque mal disey. La Han 219 con vistas a la acera de la calle. Los 2 muebles de la hab. Desgastados y sucios. Nos sentimos timados!! Destacar que el precio es de temporada baja y entre semana. Al comentarlo con la recepción, el chico de la axila mal oliente, nos ha dicho que es la habitación COMFORT y que si queremos una esquinera con vustasys la playa, debemos pagar suplemento. Nos hemos ido a comer, diciendoles que no se preocupe, que la reseña en Google sera del nivel del hotel. El hotel, por dentro, es de 1 estrella Al llegar de comer, llaman al teléfono para darnos un upgrade (hab.superior - sin coste) y NO hemos aceptado. Queremos que se ofrezca lo que publicitan. Hemos estado en casi todos los hoteles del paseo marítimo de Playa de Aro y sin duda, este es el peor de todo —＞ relación calidad/servicio/precio = SUSPENDIDO. Por todo lo anterior, mejor buscar otras alternativas de alojamiento.

Publicidad engañosa La habitación confort, es una pena. El balcón casi encima de la acera, muebles sucios y estropeados. Típico hotel de vacaciones a mogollón. El personal, atento aunque prepotente. La pica para lav**** las manos, es lo único que se salva. Si quieres estar bien y disfrutar de la zona, este hotel es el peor de la zona
