Caybeach Sun

Just returned from a eleven day stay, at cay beach, the apartments, are really nice and spacious, the bed were very comfy, the gardens are kept immaculate, no complaints regarding cay beach whatsoever, Found all the staff to be really nice and helpful, The only problem we had was that it is a twenty minute walk, to the shops and bars, ok getting a taxi into town, but getting back is nearly impossible, because of the long taxi queue, for this reason I would not return to playa blanca.

We have been staying here for many years. Lovely apartments, basic but have everything you need. Clean, Tidy, maids were in regular to service. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Staff are lovely and friendly, entertainment man was great with the children. Breakfast was lovely, plenty of choice, waiters never stopped, kept tables clean and clear. We always cleared our own tables, not fair to leave your tables dirty. Pools were cleaned regularly, but the rubbish that guests left by sun beds was ridiculous, why people could not use the bins, just crazy. Getting sun beds was an issue some days, people were allowed to put towels on beds early morning and then not use them till after lunch some days, especially market days. It was better the days all sun beds were chained till the pool opened. We always enjoy our stay here. The beach and sea front is not too far to walk, where you will find lots of places to eat and drink.

Stayed here for 15 nights in August. Apartment- the bedroom was ok, sliding wardrobes with shelf underneath. Our 6 year old could not sleep in the living room as it was so hot so we moved the mattress onto the floor. Air con only in the bedroom. This meant that the living room was too hot most of the time, not sure what it'd be like in months where it may be cooler. Had to use the toaster on the dining table as no plug in the kitchen area. Don't bother with TV unless you understand other languages! Cleaners were really good, towels and beds changed lots. Pillows were quite uncomfortable. Pools- plenty of space to enjoy swimming etc. Kids loved the slides. People were out very early putting towels on the beds. Umbrellas were screwed down so if you wanted one, you had to be out early doors! Breakfast- plenty of choice, you can pay daily. Bar- the bar staff all worked so hard. You can order food which is then phoned through to the restaurant. I feel this system could be sped up if there were always 2 staff on there, especially during happy hour. Shop- there's a great little shop on site with everything you need. A very helpful and polite lad works there. Get in early for baked goods. Entertainment- my niece loves mini disco etc and so we came back to the resort every night so she could join in. Usually started around 845. Found thr room very hot. The Entertainment guy is wonderful and has so much energy. He organises activities all day and chats to people around the pool. Location- be prepared to walk to main parts of PB e.g the main town or the harbour. We used taxis a lot, ask at Reception and they order for you. The Reception area needs updating, the furniture is quite uncomfortable and air con isn't great. Overall, we had a great time but looking at other resorts in the area, we'd choose somewhere closer to the front.

OMG, not at all like the photos or the write up of the hotel, advertising all inclusive but only does breakfast buffet, and meals to order from pool bar, cleanliness around the pool area is disgusting, saw a pool guy spitting on the floor lids play whilst collecting sunbeds. Pools open at 10am not 8am as informed. The disco bar fits about 40 people on and entertainment, is basically non existent. 2 pool bar staff lovely, and that's about it, Reception staff, couldn't care less, tried for 2 days to book our room for a further 2 hours just to shower and change and told no full, cleaners were now around until 4pm in afternoon. The pool area was disgusting, litter bins full overflowing, showers were dirty. Rooms had stained beds, rusty shower heads and taps, a cooker hob from the 80s and whistling kettle that you just couldn't use as it took too long. Broken and damaged plug sockets, you have to pay a deposit for, TV remote, air con remote, no kids allowed in indoor pool. Would not recommend to families or adults

We've just arrived back from lanzarote 1st time on the island and we had an amazing time the hotel is an ideal location from the beaches, bars, restaurants and shops. We had 2 apartments both within touching distance of the bottom pool which was ideal for us as we could see our youngest daughter playing in and around the pool area. The rooms were clean and functional (pillows) need looking at bit flat for me but personal taste. My only major concern with the rooms is there is no dust pan brush or mop my daughter accidentally dropped a glass and it went everywhere you have to go to reception to ask to borrow there's it would be handy to have a small cupboard on the patio area. Entertainment wasn't brilliant(the lounge area in need of a good clean dirty socks and food still from the night before on the floor)but we also had two teenagers with us and it wasn't really their seen so spent most nights down in the town which we absolutely fell in love with takes 5/10 mins for slow walkers. beautiful beach with jet skies and other water sports teenagers loved this plenty of restaurants and bars. The pool area is fun and lively with music playing happy hour 12-1 which we loved cocktails were flowing it was cleaned every morning (shame the guests didn't do a better job of cleaning up after themselves plenty of bins no excuse really) would stay again

Firstly i was here last year and was great this year found it much different i have mobily issues and they gave me an upstaires room finally they changed it after me giving out but were not at all helpful could have said sorry i try fix it for u but i got i dont do reservations had to ser the girl next day who was not very plesent the apartment wasent very well stocked as cups kettel ect lt was however very clean and the cleaning staff were lovely the maintance staff were lovely and the grounds were kept well we were bed and breackfast whice was cold most mornings and had to heat in the mirowave last ye wasent like that only 1 bar man there durning the day and night toliets at entertainment were broken no changing facilities for baby and my daughter was waiting 3 days for a cot for her 3 month old twins very bad when they were paid for u should get a bed. Entertainment was not great but for small kids was fine should employ more staff needs a bit of maintance done on it even the arcade had broken machines and its not a cheap hotel it cost me double from last year for 2 of us u would think they would update these things most apartments were self-catering. Was looking forward to going back and was disappointed.
