Spring Hotel Vulcano

Lovely hotel at a very good location. Modern, nicely decorated for Christmas. Polite staff, good choice for breakfast and dinner. Christmas dinner was something out of this world( been to many hotels, but Xmas dinner now will be hard to match). Not sure if it is always like this but we were the youngest in the hotel(43&47)during the first part of holidays and only later some other younger people joined us. The average age was 60's 😁 This hotel is not orientated to children but for us it was perfect- no screaming and shouting and our girl had fun in the pool by Herself and her cousin🤣 I wanted to book Spring Hotel Bitacora at first but now I am thinking that I made an excellent choice . That said, I might try it out next time just because of the All nclusive service Bitacora provides. It was a nice quiet stay so if you expect something like Turkey, eith music around the pool, kids disco and shows, this hotel is not for you. We were half board and 4 days we ate at the pool bar and were never disappointed. Good food and reasonable prices. We didn't book UP option because we were with the kids( it's for 18+)but if I ever come without them- I will try it out! Pros: Very good location Modern hotel Heated pools( wheelchair friendly) Good food and service Cons: No shampoo in a room! It's a first for me 🙈 The tiles in the pool (mosaic) need replacement. My daughter filled probably half of the carrier bag from the bottom saw of the pool🤣 All in all- perfect stay and believe me, I am picky. It is one of the hotels I would recommend to my friends and family

Ideal situation close to a wide range of beaches, restaurants,bars and shops. Easy walking in both directions towards harbour or los Christianos. Excellent reception, quick check in and helpful, courteous team. Rooms modern, comfortable and housekeeping standards high. Would always book a pool view as those on hotel side had poor view from rooms. Pool area excellent. Plenty of beds (despite quite a few early morning towels going out), really peaceful, no music so listen to the birds ! Really impressed with access to all pools for guests with limited mobility. We had great option of access to balance terrace overlooking the main pool, enjoying infinity pool and complimentary beer and soft drinks. Beds do get snapped up from opening at 10.00 so be prepared to get in the 9.55 queues. With wide selection of nearby good restaurants we opted for bed and breakfast so can’t comment on dinner. Breakfast had good selection of bakery, fruits and cereal but cooked food was disappointing . It was very congested up to 10.00 . Evening entertainment was okay . Variety of tribute acts who kept us entertained. Two areas to be aware of Refurbishment of central atrium underway so be ready if your room backs onto central area to be woken Monday to Friday from 8.00 with noise from pneumatic drills and hammers….not a great start to the day. Try and get above floor four to avoid noise. Expect some noise from guests in early hours as they drunkenly return along the corridor .

We decided that having retired we would spend 4 weeks in this hotel . We had previously stayed 4 times already in 2023 and brought others to the hotel also. We splashed out and paid for 4 weeks which was just under €7k for the UP! service. All was well for the first week, half way through the second week my husband visited the bar and asked for 2 glasses of ice . You can imagine our surprise when he was asked for €2 having spent this money on a “luxury” holiday. So every day my husband went to the shop for ice out of principle. Their staff were clearly embarrassed at having to charge for ice. Half way through our second week we received a note to say that we were no longer receiving bottled water. This is despite the fact that we had already paid for bottled water in our booking . We complained about this and were told that we should BUY their containers and use the tap water stations on our floor. We took these containers to the restaurant and were refused glasses for our water as we were told these were not allowed in the restaurant. Puzzled by this we asked why. They said we had to buy water in there. So effectively what they are saying is it’s ok to be “green” in the rooms to save them money but not in the restaurant where they can charge for bottled water. A bit of double standards. The containers were €3.95 and broke twice. We complained and were basically told tough luck. This was until my husband spoke to Ariana. Then these were refunded. In the third week some building work started at the back of the UP! area. Although the noise was a bit annoying it didn’t bother us too much. Over the coming days the noise got louder and louder to the point where it was unbearable and the dust was everywhere and we both nearly skipped at the lift on the glass floors. Next they segregated off an area where the jacuzzi was to replace it. It remained cordoned off for a week with no on e working on it. We complained to reception and to Mar Alonso. The so called Hotel Manager. Asked for a meeting with her which didn’t happen. The last straw was when they started doing work to the area which served food. There was plastering going on and the food was not covered . Absolutely shocking. We complained and asked for compensation. None was received. Several other guests were equally annoyed and had written emails to no avail. So we left 5 days early. This is actually a lovely hotel with just poor poor management. We write to Ms Alonso and Jo Robinson with NO RESPONSE. So they have left us no option on this review. All it takes some times is customer service! We know several other guests have written to these directors and received no response. For anyone going there soon I suggest you ask in advance if all works are finished. Buy your own water in this luxury establishment!

When you arrive, your met with the Wow factor. We felt a bit smug getting off the bus with other passengers in awe. Reception atrium looks amazing. Spacious with a lot of greenery. Check in was very easy, had a welcome drink with everything explained clearly. We had booked a pool view room so had access to the balance terrace ( not to be mixed up with the UP). Beer, water and juices on tap. Very nice We were allocated a ground floor 056. Very spacious, bath and a separate shower. Beds very comfortable with a good choice of television channels. Breakfast (7.30-10.30) is amazing. There is something for everyone. If anyone complains then they should stay self catering. Fantastic, amazing comes to mind. Sunbeds around the pool are plentiful. No issues in getting a bed, with ample parasols available. We had pool towels that you hand in to the lifeguard at the end of the day if you wish and get fresh ones. Easy peasy. Recently there have been comments regarding the change to the evening meal situation. Going away from a full buffet to offering table service for main meal. Again, there is more than enough choice for anyone. Starters and desserts are still a buffet. So eat as much as you like. Some amazing choices in the starters aswell, that you could have for your main meal. We tried a few different mains by changing what we wanted. Ordered a steak and chips of the menu. Beautiful. Very nicely cooked aswell ( one thing I would add, is to stop serving nearly everything with ratatouille) My wife is a diabetic, which we notified the restaurant manager. They couldn't do enough, went out of their way to accommodate. Made her sugar free desserts. A BIG THANK YOU. WELL DONE. Would I come back and stay here. Of course I would. 100% ,Would I use the evening meal restaurant service, if course I would. It would give you the choice of eating in or visiting any of the bars restaurants around the area. Best of both worlds. You have to give credit where it's due. Staff are amazing. Big thumbs up here. Really helpful. See you again in the future. THANK YOU, KEEP IT GOING.

Excellent hotel in very good position for beach, bars etc. Food was good with plenty of choice. We had a nice big room with a brilliant walk in shower. Staff were always very friendly and helpful in all areas. We would definitely recommend this hotel to people visiting LosAmericas

Cancelled our booking for Oct 2024 due to the customer service around the changes of the evening meal. We wasn’t happy that we had booked this holiday when it served a buffet dinner and now this has been changed to a set menu with the new system of having to book a time slot from 7pm on wards, of which cannot be guaranteed. The hotel was very unapologetic about the changes to the dining experience, I contacted regarding my concerns and I was told they are only “small changes” when they are huge to us, a complete change to our holiday & plans. No reassurance, no offer of any compromise such as: a solution may have been if we could have booked our slots in advance but we were told no they can’t do this, they then ignored our messages. This is the most we have ever spent on a holiday and we just wasn’t filled with confidence at all.

Another excellent 2-weeks at this hotel. Real quality rooms and views, we stayed in a pool room view room which included the 'half-way up', excellent value, very comfortable. Yes, they have changed the dinner menu on 1/2 board but always a plethora of choices for dinner, and very professionally served, great work chefs. Staff are excellent, Andrea and her team really put themselves out to ensure your stay meets your expectations. I always book direct, therefore we get a taxi, on-call, both to take us to the hotel and take us back to the airport, free of charge, just saves the bother of spending hours on the coach, also it's free, part of the deal, you also don't pay for your stay unil you arrive, the earlier you book the more discount you get. We have booked for May 25, 2-weeks, highly recommend it. My only criticism would be about the entertainment, it would add value if entertainment was provided every evening, it may also encourage more people to make use the the bar facilities, but it is accepted that entertainers cost money, so not a big deal in the bigger scheme of things. I/we personally would highly recommend this hotel, professional engaging, helpful staff, excellent cuisine, and high quality rooms. This has been our 5th visit so we know what we are getting, you get what you pay for, and you feel as if you are part of the family with the way you are treated, of course human behaviour impacts one's behaviour so reciperocating good manners, respect for others and acceptable standards of dress and etiquette benefits all holiday makers.

My husband and I have had an amazing time in Spring Volcano Hotel in Tenerife. We stayed for 8 nights in a standard room which had a mini fridge, toiletries, Sky TV, regular linen and towel changes - a spotless room with a beautiful balcony with sea view! Pool and jacuzzi were super, with daily change of sunlounger towels and lots of activities! Great selection of food in restaurant with very friendly staff! We recommend this hotel for couples and families with teenagers. We would definitely come back again. Thankyou Volcano Hotel xo
