After a horrible night at a nearby hotel, my husband and I moved over to Acanto for a 6 night stay. They let us check in early which we were very grateful for. Our room was lovely, comfy bed and very clean. Right off of 5th Avenue and a block from the beach. Great location and a super friendly staff. I would recommend!

Wonderful helpful staff. Cute traditional hotel in the middle of all the action but a few streets over so the noise it not a problem.

Great place to stay, right in the heart of Playa. Very clean, very friendly and helpful staff. A great bargain. My only complaints were the toilet kept running, and the shower water pressure and temperature were inconsistent. Not a deal breaker by any means, just inconvenient. Also, it can be a little bit loud at night. You're literally in the middle of everything and it's a lively beach town. I will definitely stay here again when I'm in Playa!

Beautiful and spacious for great price.
The terrace and grill were an amazing plus!!!
Love all the kitchen appliances and the big bedroom and living room.
The receptionists (Miguel and Itzel) were so lovely and helpful.
Prime location in Playa!

Another goid staycat Acanto! The room was huge like an apar**ent. Everything was clean and all the appliances worked well. This spot is within walking distance of the Mega grocery store/market. The staff were wonderful and inviting. My rating is slightly lower because there was a strong smell of dampness...i guess from all the humidity in this part of the world. I stayed at another place and same smell but not as noticeable. Even so if i decided to stay near the avenue again i would certainly choose Acanto and just grab deodorizing products from the store.

We booked this hotel due to the reviews and the affiliation with Windham. Decent hotel - but not worthy of a rating higher than 'good'. Very loud in early evening (due to nightclub across the street - even with an inside/courtyard room) - and rooms have non-sound proofed french doors, no real hot water (even in the middle of the night for an early departure), letter saying that "due to COVID" the cleaning is curtailed to less than daily (the cost saving scam by hotels the world over - if anything, cleaning should be increased - unless they want to cut their room rate), and very dim lighting in room and bathroom... On the plus side, friendly English-fluent staff, location is about 100 feet from 5th Avenue in a central spot, and the hotel itself is beautiful with the pool (cool, which was nice) in the central courtyard and a rooftop area that can be reserved for guest use. But there are better/cheaper options in PDC, so if you are searching, maybe pass on this one...

I got a suite that was spacious,,comfortable and had two balconies. One Juliet balcony and one larger one with seating. The rooptop was pretty nice. The pool was pretty but on the small side. Friendly staff. Complimentary continental breakfast. The few cons — shower head needs replacing/upgrading — a rainfall style one would be amazing. More kids on the property than I would have liked. A little noisy some of the nights we were there — from the street outside the hotel.
Overall, though, I’d stay again. Reasonably priced, too.

I am really surprised that Wyndham would put their name on this hotel. The rooms are tiny. The faucet in the bathroom does not align properly with the sink making it almost impossible to use without getting the counter all wet. I could hear loud music until 4am, and what sounded like a pump cycling every 3-5 minutes all night long. It was so loud it would wake me up even after I managed to get to sleep. The shower was impossible to turn on without getting blasted with cold water. The front doors are windows that look right in to the bed. The only reason why I am not giving it one star is because the night security guard is super nice and helpful.
