I stayed in a studio apartment which was absolutely perfect. The housekeeping is of a very high standard as the apartment and grounds in general were spotless. The staff do a fantastic job. I encountered no issues whatsoever during my stay and would highly recommend staying here. The reception staff were also very pleasant.

The experience was a positive one given the low price that we paid. Other hotels/apartments in the area would have cost almost double for the Christmas period. We stayed in the apartments. The apartments do need modernising, but they were very clean and well equipped. The pool is definitely heated and a good size. A gripe would be that warm shower water was not endless. There was enough warm water for a reasonable shower, but it often ran out towards the end. Also, at times, there were groups of unsupervised children by the pool, and the lifeguard did not do much to intervene when they became (slightly) disruptive. It wouldn't be my first choice of hotel to return to given that it needs modernising. However, if the price was right, I would consider it. The reception staff were lovely.

Bathroom: shower and toilet need to be changed Kitchen: ok, large fridge, well equipped Rooms: old mattress, hard pillows Cleanliness: towels changed often but the kitchen and bathroom weren’t cleaned properly, especially the sink area in the bathroom Pool: lovely area BUT NOT HEATED, very disappointing! I could take a bath in the ocean but not in the pool, I hardly saw 2,3 persons enter the pool during my stay. Laundry: big washing machine and dryer, a little old but good enough, not very clean around that area though Wifi good, not the best. Location good Definitely not coming back, too many cons

We always try to stay away from large chain hotels and all inclusive so were really pleased to find this accommodation. 1st impressions. Concierge was welcoming , friendly and gave us clear direction to our accommodation (No41) which was situated at end of the pool. (A little awkward wheeling our cases noisily between the feet of sunbathers and the poolside - almost a walk of shame that the newbies had arrived! But we soon got over it!) We were pleasantly surprised with the accommodation. Roomy with 2 bedrooms, (1 on the ground floor) 2 bathrooms, and lounge/kitchen area. Perfect for families (it was just the 2 of us this time, but we wished we had found this years ago when our children were younger) Kitchen is well equipped, beds are really comfortable, hair dryer in bathroom. Little patio and garden area, and wifi really good. We found the position of Parquemar was perfect for us. We are keen walkers , and enjoyed walking along the sea front (15-25 minutes walk to the sea) along the sand to the dunes, or the other way along the prom. The are also several bus stops near by which allowed us to explore other towns. Local restaurants, supermarket. We also hired a car locally from Jurecar as recommended by the hotel) to visit the mountains. Only a few minor irritations, Road noise from main road behind was noticeable but not really bothersome. The Bull hotel next door did have a live singer from 8:30 to 11pm, retro style 70’s holiday crooning (we are out of season so unsure if this would be different in the summer but at 50 ish we felt like some of youngest ones here!) but actually, after a long day exploring we enjoyed sitting on the patio with a glass of red listening too it. Noisy or nightshift working neighbour next door? (I may be wrong, but think some properties may be owned, or on long term lets? ) anyway minor annoyance, but we noticed a washing machine noise *occasionally at 1 or 2am and scuffing around in the earlier hours.*just to clarify our apartment didn’t have washing machine. Main Pool was a bit too shallow for us only 1m -1m 30 cm deep. But it would be perfect for families. Cleaners were charming, friendly and attentive. Nothing too much trouble. Overall, we were comfortable, safe and thoroughly enjoyed our relaxing winter break here.

Fantastic stay in the small houses at the rear of the hotel. Very clean. Pool was lovely. Maids were polite and caring. Receptionists were helpful and friendly. Definable would stay here again. Loved it.

Spacious and well equipped accommodation. Room 37 facing pool area. Semi detached with entrance into private garden area with sunbeds and terrace with table and chairs. Clothes airer and broom. Ground floor consisting of large shower room, double bedroom, open plan living/kitchenette area with breakfast bar and comfortable sofa area. Full fridge freezer, double hob, microwave, full size sink and drainer, coffee maker, kettle and toaster. Plenty of pots, pans, cooking utensils, cutlery and crockery. Tea towel, washing up liquid, sponge and cloth supplied. Open stairs leading up to the first floor, small landing with doors into shower room and large double bedroom with door onto large balcony. Rooms a little dated but very well maintained and cleaned. Plenty of wardrobe space and storage in both bedrooms. Travelled with other family members, who were accommodated next door as requested. They had a refurbished bungalow which had new kitchen cupboards and appliances as well as a dining table and chairs instead of the breakfast bar. Maid service 6 days a week. Fresh towels as needed and bedding changed every few days. Very friendly staff. Pool area and gardens very well maintained, gardeners, maintenance and cleaners always seen working hard. No problems getting sunbeds together. Quiet and friendly pool area, lifeguard on duty. Bars, restaurants and shops on doorstep. 15 mins walk via footbridge to San Fernando, very large Spar, Lidl and other local supermarkets. Lots of lovely tapas bars and local restaurants. 10 mins walk to the Yumbo. 20/25 mins walk to the beach. Mix of young and old, groups, families and couples. Would recommend to all.

Had a lovely stay at the parquemar, we got lucky and got a bungalow by the pool, was perfect for our 9 year old to go in the pool whenever she wished. The bungalows are great with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, it was regularly cleaned and we found the beds comfy. The only negative for us was the very strict pool rules, I get the no lilos rule, but my daughter got told she wasn't allowed a small ball! There is a good supermarket nearby and the odd bar and restaurant, it is a 15 min walk to the main areas.

Very welcoming hotel. It was a pleasure staying here, comfortable beds, clean, friendly staff! I loved how the pool area was quiet and could really relax, I would definetly come back here, it was a very relaxing experiance and much better than other hotels I stayed in when visited.

I did like our stay here location OK But but of a walk to the beach. Room basic and issue with shower leaking out (sometimes all the way through the bathroom and into bedroom) awful smell from drains (top it keep plugs in or room will stink). No aircon which was an issue and €40 ish for a fan for 2 weeks. This place was really cheap during pride so you get what you pay for. All staff really nice and friendly.
