I really have no idea what some people expect when they go on holiday but, having read some of the reviews beforehand, and then having the experience that we had at Sunset Resort I really have no idea what planet some people are on.We were a family of 5 - 2 adults and 3 children aged 14, 12 and 9. Transfer was only 15mins from airport. All inclusive wristband had a little plastic tag on it which acted as room key so couldn't be lost. Our apartment was massive with a double bedroom, another bedroom with two single beds and a massive lounge area with a pull out double sofa bed. Bathroom had a bath with shower over it as well as another separate shower. The kitchenette had a large fridge freezer, double hob, kettle etc. Cleaners were brilliant, changing towels daily and sheets/duvets as necessary. Safe was in the wardrobe. Sunset resort complex is made up of a number of blocks over quite a large area so never seemed crowded. Four pools, one very shallow for younger children, one with three small ish slides, open 10am-12, 2-4pm with lifeguard and a lazy river around the outside with bridges over it. Pool bar at this pool served soft/hot drinks, beer/wine, alcoholic and non-alcoholic cocktails and ice creams 9am-5pm. The third pool was deeper, where they played water polo and another pool bar that you could swim up to. Final pool was quieter and was at the far end of the complex. Towels were provided and could be changed daily. Sunbeds, which were cushioned, were always available no matter what time of the day you went to the pool. I used the gym every morning, open 9am-8.30pm daily and free to use for all inclusive guests, otherwise 10 lev per visit. Very well equipped with 4 treadmills, cross-trainer, bikes and weight machines and free weights. Would have been better if it opened earlier so I could've trained earlier and got to breakfast/pool earlier but that's just me, because I like to train first thing in the morning. We didn't try any of the a la carte restaurants, as we found the buffet restaurants, particularly Sapphire, to cater for everyone's taste buds. Breakfast was what you'd expect - lots of cooked items, including bacon, various sausages, scrambled, fried, boiled eggs, beans, tomatoes, fried bread, pancakes, etc. Cereals (hot and cold milk), various breads/pastries and preserves/spreads, fresh and dried fruit, yoghurt, cakes and the more continental style of meats/cheese and salad etc. Again, all hot/cold drink options including orange and apple juice. We tended to go to the Diamond restaurant (buffet style) for lunch which, again, had numerous choice inside, both hot and cold, as well as a grill area outside with burgers, chicken wraps and chips which you could grab and go. Ice cream here was Mr Whippy style, served 12-4pm, and always a choice of two flavours. A lovely touch was the patisserie, open 2-6pm. The cakes/pastries were amazing and again, ice cream available along with hot drinks and a lovely seating area. Alternatively
