Otel yakın zamanda yenilenmiştir, ancak daha çok yama işi ve gösterişli bir görünüme sahiptir. Odaların ses yalıtımının olmaması nedeniyle odalarda sessiz bir an geçirmek imkansız. Koridorlardan geçerken komşunuzun kapılardan burnunu üflediğini duyabiliyorsunuz. Çarpan kapılardan, televizyon seslerinden, seslerden ve temizlik işlerinden bahsetmiyorum bile. Kapılar kapanmıyor ve kapı ile çerçeve arasındaki boşluktan ışığı bile görebiliyoruz. Odadaki tuvaletlerden gelen kötü kokuyu, zaman zaman otomatik olarak doz veren küçük bir parfüm püskürtücüyle maskelemeye çalışıyorlar. Gürültü sorunlarını, ses yalıtımının eksikliğini ve yenilemenin kötü yolunu bildirdiğinizde odanızı değiştirmeyi teklif ediyorlar, ancak bu hiçbir şeyi çözmüyor çünkü kusurlar otelin tüm odalarında mevcut. Bir e-posta gönderdikten, resepsiyona şikayette bulunduktan ve pazarlama departmanına video gönderdikten sonra bana ses yalıtımı konusunda tamamen aynı sorunu yaşayan “melhor quarto do hotel suite” verildi. Adını bilmediğim, aramaya bile tenezzül etmeyen biri, kalan gecelerin ücretini bana ödemeyi teklif etti ve uyuyamadığım halde otelde kaldığım geceler için de alıkonuldu. Kısacası, saklanma yeri olarak yeniden tasarlanmış, sessiz ve huzurlu bir gece geçirmek için gereken minimum koşulları sağlamayan, hatta daha az mahremiyet sağlayan bir otel. Ponta Delgada'da kullanabileceğiniz başka birçok seçenek var, bu yüzden fotoğraflara aldanmayın, çünkü size bir anlık huzur ve iyi bir gece uykusu verecek olan bir bornoz veya su ısıtıcısı değildir. !!!!

We selected the Canadiano on the advice of a friend. I'm pleased to report that it was a very pleasant, comfortable hotel for our 6 night stay in Ponta Delgada. The beds were very comfortable. The rooms were well kept. They offer complimentary breakfast for their guests. If you want to spend your days exploring, not trying to find somewhere to have breakfast, this is welcomed feature. We rented a car to explore the island and they have ample free parking. It doesn't have a great view of anything and it doesn't have a swimming pool. So if you're not planning to leave your hotel, this probably isn't the best choice. But, I can't image anyone going to Sao Miguel just to stay in the hotel - there is so much to see. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone planning to visit this beautiful island.

Very clean hotel. The room (room 120) was also very clean and spacious with a very comfortable bed. The breakfast they had was decent with good choices so not to eating the same thing each day. The bakery next store was a great place to grab a ham and cheese if you wanted a lunch later in the day while on the go. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We would absolutely stay here again.

Our hotel room had some kind of problem with the ventilation in the bathroom. It smelled like sewage! When we complained to the front desk staff, they said that they couldn’t do anything about it until the morning. The next day, they refused to acknowledge the problem. They said that it was the cork wall treatments, or maybe the shower drain plug. They refused to give us a different room, but changed the batteries in the air freshener in the bathroom. They told us that we should never close the bathroom door, and that we should leave a room key in the air conditioning slot 24 hours a day.

Lovely hotel. Very clean and recently updated and in a central location in downtown Ponta Delgada. They have parking, spots might be limited if the hotel is full, but there is overflow parking and a grassy area right past main parking lot area. The hotel has all the basics- hand soap, body lotion, shampoo/body wash, and hair conditioner (which is a little watery, so it didn’t work well for my hair, but at least it’s there!). They provide tea and a hot water kettle. Coffee in the coffee machine apparently costs a $1 and the bottle of water is $2 (so they do charge for those). There is a fridge, but it was not very cool, but would keep a bottle of water a little cooler than room temperature, but not sure it would keep food from spoiling. The one ISSUE was that they have no ice bucket or ice machine- so if you want ice, the front desk has to get it from the restaurant/bar area they either put in bag (which leaks) or a beer mug (and then it melts pretty quick bc the fridge isn’t that cold), but that is really our only complaint. The included breakfast was basic, but enough for a light bite to get your day going! Eggs and bacon and veggies, ham and cheese platter, yogurt and jam, and breads! The breads were by far the best! They croissants and multigrain rolls were always super fresh and delicious. Coffee, juice and water is also all available. For the price and location, we were very happy with the hotel. We had a junior suite, and the extra room was helpful! Also- most of the rooms face the courtyard/parking lot, but there are about 4/6 rooms that’s face the street - if you prefer or don’t prefer a street view. Overall I would stay here again! Good location, parking, clean, and the hotel staff were pleasant.
