Hotel Chesa Mulin

During my tour of Switzerland, I chose this hotel to stay while in Pontresina. It is about a 10 min walk (UP hill) from the train station....a bit of the hike but it's so worth it. I arrived and was greeted by a woman who was very friendly. She was actually the one who replied to my email. She showed me to my room and gave me a quick tour of the place. There is an elevator which is convenient. The room was perfect! The bathroom was amazingly clean (pics included). At night, the area is very quiet. The bed was comfortable and the room was cozy with wood furniture. The staff gave me a recommendation of where to eat, which was a restaurant around the corner (Hotel Bernina Restaurant) and the food was delicious. So good that I returned again the next night :-) The breakfast was great too, many options and things were very clean. The staff is around to get you anything you need. After a long day of hiking, I decided to use the sauna. I asked the staff and they had no problem with setting it up for me to use. I was lucky, the sauna was across the hall from my room so I didn't have to walk very far. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to visit Pontresina. The area is extremely beautiful and the hotel is perfectly located. Trust me, this is a great hotel. From the staff, to the cleanliness, to the breakfast......it is perfect.

Excellent accommodation. Room was spacious enough with lovely views. Fabulous hosts and staff. Went above and beyond for us. Very lovely and delicious breakfast spread too, with so much lovely fresh produce and variety. Pontresina is a lovely town to stay in too!

I spent two nights at Hotel Garni Chesa Mulin with my son. We had an excellent time there. What we liked in particular: - very helpful reception staff - excellent breakfast - very clean rooms - good location, nearby public transport and restaurants

We enjoyed a great 4-night stay at Chesa Mulin. The COOP is right next door, the Post A/B bus stops are about a two minute walk, and the train station is a brisk ten minute walk downhill. The staff and the owners/hosts were very friendly and helpful. English spoken. The breakfast options were impressive. The bed was very comfortable; nice sized double room and a good bathroom. There is a good restaurant/pizzeria nearby. St. Moritz, Punt Muragl, Diavolleza, Morterasch are all accessible by train, and transport is free if you stay two nights (I think) or more.

The hotel was simple yet very comfortable and offers one of the best breakfasts we’ve had, and that’s after traveling for almost 2 weeks in Switzerland. The front desk staff was welcoming, incredibly friendly and insured that we had everything that we needed for a great stay. The outdoor patio was a delightful place to enjoy relaxing after a full day of activities.

I have to say that I was expecting such a warm and hospitable atmosphere, based on the past reviews. Past guests praised great welcomes, advice on what to do

We were delighted with our stay here. The staff could not have been more friendly, helpful and accommodating. In typical Swiss style everything was clean and well oganized. We enjoyed the breakfast bar each morning and loved the outdoor patio in the late afternoon for cocktail hour. You can’t go wrong here. The staff is terrific

Very nice hotel conveniently located near the Post bus stop and the Coop grocery store. Friendly front desk staff were extremely helpful with recommendations for restaurants and “things to do” on rainy days. Only negative was that no kettle provided in room for tea and no complimentary coffee or tea available after breakfast time….but for several CHF per cup. Every other hotel we’ve stayed at in Switzerland had free coffee and tea available throughout the day. It’s a small thing but an easy fix. Hubby used the in-house sauna and said it was nice. We both would’ve preferred a bit more hot breakfast items to choose from besides boiled eggs and porridge every day. Overall clean and comfortable beds with nice fluffy pillows.

Comfortable clean clean room. Responsive staff. Gluten-Free options at the wonderful breakfast. The breakfast ,evening wine pupu plates were thoughtfully delicious. The public room itself is so welcoming and comfortable. Every staff member we interacted with were friendly caring and helpful. A spectacularly great restaurant is but a easy 5 minute walk from the Chesa Mulin, the La Trattoria. Reservations!
