My partner and I stayed at Hotel Waterloo & Backpackers for a weekend in Wellington. We had a private room with ensuite bathroom. The room was tidy and clean, located at the end of the hallway (quiet - Bonus point!). The staff was friendly as well. The Hotel is in a perfect location: close to the Beehive and in walking distance to the CBD, Te Papa, Cable Car etc. Can recommend!

It's an older hotel and the halls smell a little funky but that quickly fades. The rooms show some signs of wear but are clean and have all the things you need. The bed was clean and comfy. The dining room was cozy and inviting. There seemed to be a little confusion in the kitchen, I know places are short staffed, but the food that arrived I really enjoyed. It is close to lots of things, I was on foot for this trip. The value was good for the price and I would stay here again.

The floor height of the room is low and oppressive, the bathroom scale does not work, other supporting facilities are OK! There are special juices for breakfast, great! The food options include porridge but the taste is generally appropriate, other foods are ok!

The location is a 5-minute walk from the Prime Minister's Office. It is on a large slope. Self-driving parking uphill and starting side parking are all technical activities.
The hall and room can only be said to be ok, after all, it is not a fashionable hotel, although some desks and sofas have a light luxury style (pay attention to professional habits).
Breakfast order + buffet, my evaluation is only passable, fried rice is okay.
I met a Taiwanese girl in the service, and she was very enthusiastic. Take the initiative to bring us water, after all, there is no water in the room. Taxi is easy to take, and many restaurants close early on Labor Day. But I learned the local Meituan of Uber eats. Compared with the domestic advanced driving and running, it is not an electric motorcycle. After all, there are fewer people running.
Opposite the parking lot is public. The hotel opposite has a swimming pool.

I have stayed in this wonderful establishment at least twice a month for the past 4 months for business. I have been meaning to write a review for a long time. Firstly heads up to the amazing Gurdev, office manager who quite frankly deserves a medal (or at least a pay rise) for his absolutely outstanding customer service. Not only does he make me feel welcome, but goes above and beyond to make sure that nothing is ever a problem. I have observed his interactions with other guests and I’m sure they would also say the same should they chose to review. Although very close to Jackson street, I have never been bothered by noise. A handy walk to many excellent eateries. The rooms are beautifully cleaned by lovely cleaning staff. Some rooms are a little small, it doesn’t bother me as I’m just there to sleep basically. Bed’s super comfortable. What’s not to like… if you want to stay in Petone I would highly recommend

Couple staying to attend 2 night women's rugby event at Sky Stadium. Key requirement was well located accomodation with free parking and handy to public transport. This was perfect. Located right in Johnsonville town centre within easy walking distance to multiple restaurants and fast food outlets, shopping mall, and train station. The train line goes to Wellington train station which gives short walking access to Sky Stadium and downtown Wellington. The accommodation is up a side street and has undercover parking. Although close to the motorway we heard no traffic noise as the rooms are soundproofed really well. Room was warm and beds very comfortable. This property met everything we were looking for and will be our go-to accommodation for all our future Wellington stays. Highly recommended.

My family and I had an excellent stay. The view was great, our room and our beds were so comfortable. There were plenty of towels for all of us to have showers. The only thing that could improve is the choice of food that is friendly for families, especially for children. But yes was an ideal one night stay.
