Good base for coastal path walking and Exmoor. Parking on street but better parking charged. Friendly hosts, narrow hallways for room access, comfortable bed with good WiFi but tepid shower.

Wonderful staff. Breakfast amazing. Only issue room 11 needs a bit of an update. Had a great stay though.

Nice hotel with very reasonable food and drink prices. Staff are really great and I would certainly use this hotel again. Room was nice with good facilities.
Improvements.. Better guest information would be good, such as detaills in the room about breakfast times, wifi etc.
But overall highly recommended.

All the staff were very friendly and helpful.
The evening meals were very good and fairly priced.
The room was comfortable and provided all we needed.

Would thoroughly recommend. Very clean and welcoming. Breakfast was lovely with a good choice of options available. Could not fault.

We had a lovely room and the castle is based in the centre of Porlock

Positives- great food, friendly service, very comfortable bed.
Negatives, cobwebs in room, shower screen leaked all over floor, water pressure meant after 40 seconds shower just trickled. Carpets ripped and tatty in areas.
Despite advertised no parking available anywhere near the hotel.

Thank you so much to the Castle hotel for a wonderful weekend break. Our room was clean a really comfy. Large room. The breakfast was yummy and plentiful. I would like to thank Patsy and all her lovely staff, who were kind and Attentive. I definitely recommend this beautiful hotel
