Pierre & Vacances Residence le Green Beach

The complex is very nice and the surroundings are lovely. Port en Bessin which is just a short drive away is very nice with lots of restaurants and places to walk. However, our studio was very disappointing, although well equipped it was not in good repair. We had a broken shower that had to be fixed, we had a hotplate that didn't work and on our third day we had no hotwater. The reception staff were very nice and quickly responded to put right the problems but the studio was not fit for purpose and needs to be renovated.

We stayed in room 9 after booking a last minute stay for 1 week as a family of 4 (2 young children and 2 adults). The onsite pools are great and the grounds and play area are well kept. Our room was overlooking the golf course so was quiet and nice to overlook in the evening. The apar**ents were great.. maybe could do with a bit of TLC in some areas but overall a comfortable stay. The staff were really helpful and each night there were different things going on ie pizza night and moules and a band. We felt that the resort was missing a bar/restaurant of some kind so the local vendors visiting was a great way to add entertainment.

Great location to visit Normandy museums and beaches. Kids enjoyed the pool.

Visited this hotel with my family recently. We stayed in one of the villas and I have to say we had a fantastic stay. The villa was clean, spacious and most importantly for us - quiet. I will say it's quite a distance from some things, but we were lucky enough to be able to bring our car with us on the ferry. Would recommend staying at this hotel for sure, especially in one of the villas as I cannot speak for rooms. Also, if you don't feel like dining out, there's a nice man who sometimes parks up and cooks pizzas. He isn't there all the time. There's also a bread van every morning, but I cannot remember the times. I'm sure reception will let you know upon checkin.

There are Rats on the site and big ones - needs more pest control. The fact that there is no bar or restaurant on site, or within easy walking is not good with the number of properties a bar would pay for itself. Design of our property left a lot to be desired, toilet downstairs, while there is room on bedroom floor in bathroom to get a toilet, also no means of getting air flow through the property as no window on door elevation. but the biggest complaint was there was no internet, a property of this size to have inadequate internet in 2022 is inexcusable and the fact they say limited before booking means they know of the problem, so would be better to say 'no internet' then they would be providing what they provided us, this substantially reduces the value for money, the manager on check out smiled and said yes to it not being good, this is an insult, if is was UK, I would have wanted some money back, I France I have to reluctantly accept, due to language and distance No email address to contact them

Check in was at 17:00 where we were greeted warmly at reception by Thomas who spoke excellent English (mercifully as my French is embarrassingly bad). He gave us the full low down on the property and local area which included a map. If you've reviewed the property properly then you'll know that it's fully self catering and you're responsible to keep it clean and make your beds. The interior was perhaps slightly dated compared to other 4 star hotels but it was very clean and everything worked. The kitchen area had 4 ring hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, kettle, coffee maker, toaster and dishwasher as well as a plentiful supply of utensils, pots and pans. No condiments so if you plan to cook either come prepared or head 2 minutes by car to the supermarket in Port En Bessin. Local baker calls every morning at 9am too. There was plenty of outdoor space between the hotel and the golf course to make use of and the hotel pools were heated. If you plan to explore the area we'd recommend bringing or hiring a car as Bayeux is a 10-15 minute drive. Great location to explore the D-Day beaches and museums with Omaha and Arromanches both only 15 minutes away. This is a great place to stay for a family (4 of us). We stayed for 8 nights and would definitely check this place out again if back in Normandy.

Freat place.

We stayed in a two bedroom superior apar**ent and it fully lived up to our expectations - would recommend it for people travelling with children. Great pool areas (both inside and outside), playgrounds, possibilty to lend equipment for table tennis. Parking is super easy, friendly staff and the place is very close to major sightseeing attractions. Would come back

I couldn’t believe how run down, old and shabby the lodging was when we checked in. It hasn’t been cleaned under the beds for months. The towels were old and thin like kitchen cloths. It’s a 2 star hotel really. The front desk is a bit rude, doesn’t speak English, it’s impossible to reach over the phone or by email.
