Premier Inn Porthmadog

This review is solely about the charming and most helpful server we had in the restaurant. Corina was very helpful and demonstrated a thorough awareness of the menu. She was an absolute delight, very attentive and entertaining. Jolly well done.

Where to start. 1st though, I should say that I stay in many Premier Inns and Travelodges, and probably still will. Many problems encountered. Very smelly room to start with. Extremely noisy from above for both nights, despite complaining about this. Only 1 set of towels in the room for 2 people for 2 nights. Only 2 teabags, no milk or coffee in the room. Food was pretty poor, so if you are going to stay, either go to the Australia or Spooners across the road. Much more expensive than the Travelodge which is only a 10 minute walk up the road. I did complain all this on leaving and was told to just send an e-mail to the head office. Great customer service. Not !

The hotel itself is quite new, but it's a typical premiere inn, it's nice but does have some flaws. Location is very good being in porthmadog. Parking is a pain as it has limited spaces but I was told by one of the staff at the bar where to park and it solved a problem for me, thank you Enya you were very helpful. Overall I had a good stay basic but ok and I would stay again being so close to everything that I needed to do.

Modern, clean & bright hotel, but for the cost of the stay, I would expect more and better. There are not enough parking spaces. The extra charge for usable WiFi is expensive. Noise between floors is unacceptable, even people just walking around rooms corridors above is very loud in rooms below. Bath height / step down from bath too high. Bed not particularly comfortable.

Stayed here for a couple of days, ideally situated, nice room looking over bay and railway station, the room was clean and comfortable, we booked for evening meal, we were ordering drinks only to be told that they didn’t stock Prosecco ( unfortunately all I drink) we cancelled dinner and we across the road to spooners had lovely meal and Prosecco, on returning to hotel bar asked for baileys guess what didn’t have that , so off to bed we went, next morning I don’t eat breakfast but asked if I could just have a hot chocolate , yet you guessed right they didn’t have any , whoever is in charge of stock seriously needs to up their game , Would I stay here again …yes I would just take some drinks with me , there were six of us so they lost a bit of trade

Poor selection of food, noisy restaurant, room not cleaned all week dead bugs on floor. WiFi terrible unless you want to pay £5 a day extra. 2 coffee and 2 milk sachets in room and not replaced after day2

Great couple of days in Porthmadog Premier Inn. Staff and food were very good, glad we chose the Plus room as the views were excellent looking across the estuary and Ffestiniog railway. Great time watching the trains chugging around. Highly recommended and have booked again for September.

Comfortable and clean room, I stayed for a work trip so only ate at the hotel restaurant, Corena was my waitress and was exceptional, I had a few queries which she resolved promptly and satisfactory, considering how she never actually stopped and was always on the go. Five well deserved stars!

Great price, clean and comfy room. Friendly helpful staff but surprised with the view. Would have planned to stay longer if we'd researched the location before booking. Will be returning in the future.
