Atlantis Dive Resort Puerto Galera

This resort is a cross between Bedrock of the Flintstones and Whoville. It is such a fun place to stay. The staff in great and the food is absolutely incredible. The diving is second to none. The dive staff are top notch and do everything to make your experience perfect.

We had a life changing time at this resort. The entire staff of this resort are the best humans on the planet. The diving was beyond spectacular in nature and only made better by the greatest dive guide I've ever had - Van. Van has one of the greatest critter spotting eyes I have ever experienced. He genuinely listened to us, and picked all of our dives sites with safety and our critter spotting goals in mind. He checked off almost all of my bucket list critters within the first day!! We were supported by Captain Bai - who was so on top of things we were blissfully floating from dive to dive unaware of all the hard work happening behind the scene. My backplate bolt had unfortunately loosened, and was lost on a dive and Bai replaced it himself while the rest of the dive team went to the hardware store to look for alternatives! All while I sipped on a soda and enjoyed the company. To top it off, Norm FOUND said bolt on his dive, and they refused to take the spare back an insisted I keep it as a back up part. Speaking as a manager of a dive company for the past 6 years, the ENTIRE dive team at Puerto Galera, along with their passion and efforts are 100% unmatched. Verde Island day trip, and Black Water dive are a must. However, the local sites (all less than 10 minutes boat ride away) were all mind blowing as well. The resort itself is quaint and very unique. The rooms, albeit a bit small, were fully functional for a couple with loads of dive gear. The spa experiences were incredible and the restaurant staff knew our coffee order by the second day! Ogie - the restaurant manager surprised us with unique, personalized latté every morning. The food was absolutely incredible and they always made sure we were hydrated, full and happy! We'll never forget our time here, and tears were shed as we departed with hugs from our dive team and warm smiles from the entire staff at Atlantis.

Oh my ! What can I say but this resort is so amazing. The staff are so welcoming and kind. Each member learns and calls you by name when seeing you. It makes you feel like you’re family. The islands have several MPA’s (marine protected areas). The major economic industry here is diving and the diving in PG is mostly reefs and is so spectacular. I haven’t seen reefs this healthy in a long while. Just proves what a little care can do. Van was our dive guide and he did not disappoint when it came to pointing out all the wonderful critters to see. My compliments to the chef and kitchen staff. The meals were delicious and more than I could eat. I asked for half portions several times. My reservation representative, Emily Jamero, did an amazing job helping me make all the arrangements for this trip. She really went above and beyond.

As a family of four travelling from Germany our experience was just perfect from beginning to end. We were greeted from the airport promptly with a big friendly smile and had an excellent transition from Manila to the resort. We were again greeted with warm friendly smiles and a gorgeous plate of freshly served fruits which was not expected. Throughout our two week stay both our children dived our youngest being just ten years old. The divers taught with love, care and patience, we certainly felt part of an extended family. The food was AMAZING with a variety of both international and local delights - the highlights of our evenings were chatting to the ever friendly 50 bar staff. Our room was kept immaculate throughout our stay and fully aircon. We were very sad to say goodbye to our new extended family and shall be returning to Germany to save up for our next visit thank you SO much Atlantis.

some of the most amazing Diving, wonderful food and the staff was like not other. Great Music at the 50 Bar club. Rooms were neat and clean. Lots of shops near by and many interesting things to see. We will return to this resort, we have never had this kind of fun before.

The staff are amazing! You will feel like family everyday. From the personalized latte art to the spa treatment and kitchen staff will make you feel like they are rolling out the red carpet the only bad thing about this place is having to leave

The resort was completely full when we arrived but the service was still excellent. Ironically by the end of the week there were only 2 divers left at the resort. The resort is right on the waterfront in the middle of Sabang Beach. It is a short 5 minute walk to town from the resort where you can get snacks and such. The staff is quite friendly and pleasant. I was amazed that most if not all of the staff knew me by name by the second day. Granted I kind of stand out in a crowd (literally) so I am easy to remember, but it was a nice touch. The rooms are all stucco and ceramic. They are pleasant and well furnished. The bed was comfortable, but only had a duvet so bring a sheet if you need one. Each room has a small fridge, a TV (not all that many channels, though), a private bath. there were enough outlets for charging phones. The air conditioner worked quite well which is a necessity because it is quite warm and humid in the Philippines. There is a dedicated camera room with plenty of outlets and space to put your cameras and charge batteries. The grounds were well kept up with lots of trees and bushes on the grounds. They had a nice little pool as well as a spa for massages. The restaurant was open air. Each morning we could order breakfast off the menu. For lunch and dinner we had 3-4 choices each day. Typically one meat dish, one fish, and one vegetarian. The food was very good. One could also order off the menu, but that was not included in our package. The dive operation is set up quite well. They have a gear storage room and a separate cubby shelf for each diver's small items. The dive staff typically takes care of the heavy stuff once you set it up. They take the tanks and weights and such to the boat before each dive. You have to analyze your tanks, but they have a nice set up which makes it pretty easy. The dive briefings were quite thorough. The divemasters were excellent. The boat crew was very helpful and always loaded up our BC/tanks from the water. They also handled cameras well. Boats were equipped with safety gear and seemed well maintained. The boat drivers handled the boats extremely well. The dive sites were mostly within a 10 minute ride from the resort with the exception of Verde Island. We dived patch reefs, walls, muck areas, and a couple wrecks. Visibility is not like Cozumel or Caymans, but the healthy coral more than makes up for the lack of crystal blue water. Even right off the beach the coral is flourishing. There is such a density of life in the reefs here where almost every hard surface has something growing on it be it an anemone, soft coral or crinoid. There were lots of smaller colorful reef fish as well as frogfish, octopus, eels, etc. The divemasters were quite good at finding tiny nudibranchs and such. After the days diving it was pleasant to hang at the 50 bar. They had some pretty good craft beer there. The front desk was very helpf

From the time you arrive, until you leave you will have an amazing time. The Staff are AWESOME !!! Be sure to get a Latte from Ogie in the restaurant, his designs are amazing !!! The diving is great with Van and Janes. Be sure to visit Ton Ton at 50 Bar. Service is excellent by everyone.

Loved the whole experience while we were here. The food was spot on. The dive crew were amazing. All of the staff from the dive crew to our masseuses to our crew serving our meals & drinks & waiting on us all looked after us so well & became our friends & still touch base with them. Need to organise another dive trip here soon.
