I cannot tell you how much I loved this hotel. We had a huge room with a king size bed and a brick ceiling. The picture over our bed matched the decorative pillows and runner on the bed, matched the wall mural in the bathroom and the bath mat. Gorgeous local woodwork throughout. Green Tea shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and liquid soap provided. Very comfortable…..slept like a baby. The grounds were magical… lighted wooden walkways throughout. You knew you were in the jungle…such large beautiful plants throughout…orchids, bromeliads…I have houseplants that look like miniatures of what we saw there. 2 young girls under 10 were in our party. They were ENCHANTED by the butterfly house. I bet we went there 10 times. They also enjoyed the colorful chickens and the reptile area. The pool reminded me of a lagoon and it sloped so that maybe a wheelchair could get in. It was lighted as well. I wish I had spent more time at the pool… so relaxing. There was a fabulous breakfast included every morning….scrambled eggs, 3 kinds of bread for toast, salami, ham, cheese, jelly, marmalade, dulce de Leche, butter, medialunas, several pastries including my favorite, a round biscuit with shredded cheese baked in it… called a cheepa (I’m sure that’s not how it’s spelled) which was SO delicious. If you went away hungry, it was your own fault. The grounds had a metal gazebo, an old wagon etc. … just lovely. Out back of our building was a charming little chapel with a manger scene outside and replicas of the indigenous people standing outside just like you would after church. As I am writing this, it is all I can do not to go the airport and head back to this hotel. It took me 10 hours to get to Buenos Aires and another almost 2 hours to get to Iguazú, but I’d gladly make the trip again to spend time at this hotel. If I were ever depressed or stressed, this place would heal my soul. I felt the Magic there.
