Location is fantastic other than the beach. The beach that the resort was located on had a crap ton of seaweed so we couldn’t really swim at the beach but no big deal because the pools and jacuzzis here are fabulous! You won’t even miss the beach! Food was amazing, they have a multitude of restaurants there on the resort. All sorts of variety. Room service was a bit slow but it’s also a big resort so can you really blame them? Overall 10/10 would recommend

Amazing property. Excellent food and amenities, service is fantastic. Would’ve given a 5 star if it wasn’t for the beach. Beach isn’t suitable for swimming.

No need to worry about safety here. El Cid gave us a safe relaxing vacation at a fair price. I would return no problem. The only thing i would do differently is exchange about $100-150 us for pesos for tipping money.

The property was great!! They don't try to sell you stuff. Great rooms. a lot of activities. They don't skimp on the alcohol.
Philipe, the restaurant manager, and Philipe, the Sous Cheif were both fantastic. Went out of the way to serve us.
CON-
1 - The Internet is not free so make sure it is included in your package.
2 - We were a group of 12 vegetarians, and veg food options were very limited.

We had a great stay at Ventus at Marina El Cid. The property was well maintained and very clean. Staff were excellent and restaurants were wonderful. Lots of options for diet restrictions. Several pools and restaurants shared between the 3 El cid resorts. Would come again! Highly recommend

The photos of the beach are not accurate, so if you are looking to spend time in the ocean beachside at this resort, you will be very disappointed! The resort itself is nice but don’t plan on spending time in the sand or swimming in the ocean. The beach was a narrow ***** of sand, which was covered in mounds of sea grass and the ocean floor was very rocky.

This is a great family all inclusive resort, lots of entertaining activities. The restaurants were ok, not amazing, just ok, but had great ambiance. The market for lunch is an absolute must; so many great choices for everyone in our group of 9 and easy seating. The cliff jumping pool and water slide were a hit with everyone. The reef just off shore is great for kids as it’s inside protected coves. Awesome that El Cid had a Marina attached for fishing, snorkel excursions and even swimming with dolphins. The room itself was great, excellent shower condition and water pressure, beds were super comfy. We were in a junior suite with a king bed and Murphy bed, perfect for 2 adults and 1 teen.
