Marina Suites Gran Canaria

Das Hotel befindet sich direkt am Yacht Hafen in einer top Lage. Ich habe mich sehr wohl gefühlt im Apar**ent. Die Zimmer sind geräumig, ausgestattet mit einem Wohnzimmer, Küche und einen riesigen Terasse. Kann das Hotel nur jedem weiter empfehlen.

This hotel is perfect! The rooms are very spacious and well appointed, all the staff are lovely, and the location is ideal. Hotel We were stayed on a self-catering basis. On arrival we were greeted by a lovely guy called Jorge who immediately made us feel welcome. Our room really was a small appar**ent - it had everything we needed, you could easily live in it! The kitchen had everything (see photo) including a washing-up kit. There are two sides to the hotel - one side facing the marina and the town, and the other facing the pool area and out to sea. We had the marina side, which offered great views but the marina could be a little noisy during the day. This never bothered us but the other side may be quieter. Also the marina side does not get direct sun until very late in the day so was nice and cool. The pool-facing side is sunward so I assume it will be the hotter side. We had breakfast at the restaurant a few times - a standard buffet affair but the quality and selection was excellent, and at €15 per person very reasonable. Juan gave us a lovely welcome every morning! There was loads of parking right outside the hotel, but being on the marina does mean you have to pay (€14.40 per day maximum) - factor that in if you're hiring a car. The beds are pretty firm. If you like a softer bed, the sofabed in the lounge may be a good option. The only suggestion I have for improvement is a walk-in shower. Our room had a bath with shower, which was fine but can be awkward for those with mobility issues. Location Puerto Rico is set in a valley, and a lot of the hotels are high up on the steep sides, making for lots of steps. However the Marina Suites are at sea level, meaning it's a totally flat walk to get to the lovely beach, which is about 5 mins walk away. There are lots of great places to eat very nearby. There is a little collection of restaurants and a small supermarket just a few minutes away - turn right out of the hotel, go through the tunnel and up a little hill. I really like Puerto Rico itself - even though the town is a tourist resort, it's relatively quiet and has a great mix of shops. The Mogan Mall is very pretty and surrounded by shops and restaurants of all kinds - it's about 20 minutes walk away from the marina. While there you should definitely check out the large Spar near the mall - it's the fanciest supermarket I've ever seen! If you're able-bodied everything is easily walkable from the Marina Suites - if not, all the shops are along the floor of the valley, which is a gentle hill and I think most are accessible by wheelchair. I don't recall there being any required steps from the hotel right up to the mall. If you're driving there's no shortage of parking in the town. There is a huge car park under the mall, which was free when we visited. I also noted lots of EV charging places in all the large carparks on the island.

I have been coming to Marina suites since it opened. I have come with my children, but most of the time I come with my husband. Unfortunately my husband passed away last year so we have come back to Marina for the years anniversary of his passing as a family of 10, to celebrate his life & come to the place he adored. Marina Suites never lets us down.

Previously stayed at this Hotel in 2016, having stayed there with other members of our family. This time my wife and I stayed between 29th April and 9th May 2024. We opted for a self catering visit and as such didn't really get to know members of staff too well. Therefore apart from stating upon arrival we received the usual offerings of a free drink from the reception staff, who were smartly dressed, polite and very professional how they went about their business. We were told our room was Room 403 and made our way there, only to discover the room was in the process of being cleaned, the cleaner was bemused to say the least as her 'cleaning plan' showed no-one was expected in that room! No problem though, a 'phone call later we were allocated Room 402. (an issue with a new database we were told). Our room, although a little 'tired' was very clean and remained so throughout our stay. Daily visits by the domestic staff ensured that our bed was made and towels replaced on a regular basis. We didn't make use of the Hotel's restaurant facilities at all, and apart from a couple of beers on one occasion, neither did we make use of the bar facilities, so can't possibly comment on those. We were a little surprised that (apart from the reception area) the Hotel operated a 'no cash' system . Never mind we spent our cash elsewhere! The Hotel and facilities were, of course, splendid, with plenty of smiling faces on show. Although we didn't make use of the on site gymnasium, we made daily use of the pool area, enjoying soaking the sun every day. Beautifully located, the Hotel is an ideal location for every age group.

Beautiful hotel with such a great location so nice to sit by the pool and look at the boats passing by. It’s a very relaxing hotel and would recommend with families. Staff are so friendly and helpful. I realised I ran out of cows milk for my baby and went down to reception very early in the morning and the receptionist went off and got some milk for me it was such a relief as none of the shops had opened yet. They went above and beyond to help. Breakfast was amazing and everything was so fresh. Would recommend if you have a family. Our children are 1 and 8 years old.

Accommodation great with lovely views from balcony and service excellent. Location is excellent in a quiet area and flat area within the main marina where you can catch ferries or boat trips. 10 minute walk to very good Spar supermarket which is ideal to get any provisions as required. There are a couple of bars and places to eat nearby, or a 15 minute walk for a larger selection of restaurants, bars and shops. Bathrooms are large and ample however upgrades to have Walk in showers be better than current over the bath style showers. Also more comfy seating or sunbeds on balconies be great. Check out at 12 helpful the use of free shower rooms was excellent for those with later flights home. All in all great holiday, would return and would recommend.

Fab apar**ent in a superb location at the bottom of the harbour, spotlessly clean, great infinity pool with poolside bar. Friendly staff and quick check in. Can't find a fault with the place.

Have been coming to Marina Suites since it opened in 2004. It’s good to see that some of the staff are still here. Says a lot!! The cleaning is perfect. The rooms cleaned everyday. Gabriel the activity man is an asset to the hotel. So enthusiastic. Breakfast is amazing .so spoilt for choice the fresh bread lovely.My only negative is the evening reception staff. Not as friendly as they used to be, always seem to be on their mobile phones . No acknowledgement of the guests going out or coming back in In previous years have always had some form of acknowledgement.
