Dein Haus Hotel y Departamentos

The most German thing about Dein Haus is the name. The rest is very Chilean, both in a good and a less good way. The view from our decent but somewhat bare room down to the lake is excellent. Wifi works great, breakfast is certainly satisfying without being memorable. There is free parking on site. The curtains, on the other hand, are troublesome to deal with, a closet door scrapes noisily against the floor, and the bathroom is so small that you almost have to back into it. The staff are polite but not affectionate. The distance to the center with all the restaurants is over 1 km, which will deter some from walking - but we got used to it during our 3 nights here and actually ended up enjoying a bit of exercise after dinner.

Stayed here for three nights in January. The room was very basic with a view of the bin area. We arrived early after the overnight bus from Santiago and they allowed us to store our cases until check in. We went for a walk round the town and when we returned for check in the receptionist could not find the keys for the cupboard they were locked in. She eventually found them (in between taking phone calls). She was not very welcoming at all, did not tell us anything about the hotel just breakfast time. The room was very basic - two beds, a shelf in between the beds, a chair and two plugs in the bedroom (one for the bedside light) - we had to lay our cases on the floor and use them as low tables for necessities. There was one window that opened and it was an inaccessible skylight which we had to climb on a chair to shut the blind. Breakfast was OK but we were not made aware that we could order eggs if we wanted them until the last day (after we had finished our breakfast). We were on the first floor and this was accessed via a wooden staircase with a spiral in it - we had to carry our suitcases up as there was no working lift (though there was what looked like a lift there) being older ladies we found this very difficult. The stairs quite often had bits of water on them which was a hazard. We looked out at the "swimming pool" it was very small and we could only see two sunbeds. In summary I would suggest you research other hotels in Puerto Varas as I am sure there must be others for around the same price that are more welcoming and homely and closer to the town.

Recuerdo que esa noche bajé a pedir té, no había nadie atendiendo en la cocina a esa hora y me echaron una buena retada porque "no quedaba loza" y no podía tomar té. Pésimo, mis abuelos a la mañana siguiente al estirar las sábanas se percataron de una mancha muy "asquerosa" en las sábanas y el personal no encontró mejor excusa que echarle la culpa a mi hermano de 4 años, que ni siquiera había dormido en esa habitación, por lo menos aceptar que fue su error al no revisar bien las sábanas, pero echarle la culpa a un niño sin justificación es demasiado patético y poco profesional. Encima la señora nos dijo que si hubiésemos avisado, hubieran cambiado las sábanas, pero por qué tiene que avisar uno, si se está pagando, ellos son los que deben revisar antes de entregar una habitación y ser más cautelosos con la limpieza, simplemente, poco profesional, desde el trato hasta la misma limpieza.

Bonita vista. Tiene piscina temperada q mira puerto varas. Rico desayuno. Pieza poco ventilada. Mal olor en el baño a húmedo. Ventana de ventilación súper pequeña. Lucarna. Cama cómoda. En general silencioso. Resto de las prestaciones bien. Buen estacionamiento

La intención o idea es buena, pero tiene demasiados detalles, partiendo por la falta de aseo y la poca prolijidad en este. Un día no me pusieron toallas, ningún día me ordenaron el pijamas o la ropa, todo lo dejaron tirado, un trozo de barro en la escalera pasó dos días ahí y después de uno de los aseos, seguía un trozo de tocino bajo el escritorio. Al menos el lugar es bastante céntrico y las sábanas son blancas... al menos. La preocupación del personal por el Covid es nula, y si no es al desayuno, no se puede pedir ni un trozo de pan.

Considero es un hotel para pocos días, destaco la increíble vista al lago y la cercanía al centro (10 a 15 minutos máximo). Tienen una tinaja de agua caliente con hidromasaje con vista al lago disponible por 35.000 2 hrs., espectacular, de lo mejor del hotel. La limpieza fue impecable. Como punto a mejorar el desayuno debiera tener mayor variedad (todos los días es igual), tener más opciones de pan, leche descremada o productos sin azúcar. La aislación no es muy buena y el agua caliente tarda un poco. No hay servicio de comida ni snacks fuera del desayuno.

Pequeño pero confortable. Se esmeran en los detalles. Mini terraza con hermosa vista de Puerto Varas. Pequeña piscina temperada, personal muy amable y ameno. Ideal para el tránsito si vas por mas días elegir otra opcion....
