The hotel was advertised as new opening for 2024. It isn't it is in need of refurbishment it is part complete. So we were off to a bad start we were dissapointed. There are lots of positives but there are negatives also the food was hit and miss lots to choose from the best restaurant was the italian. Bed was very comfy room spacious. Beach was very good and cleaned regularly of sea****. We were in block 5 please be aware that some blocks do not have lifts (ours didn't). The best thing is the staff very friendly and trying so very hard to make your stay a memorable one Special mention the coffee shop and the staff who worked there and the beach bar outside our block (excelente) hope it's spelt right Cleaners work extremely hard we had a few maintenance ssues with the room that were resolved very quickly For the price that we paid the holiday was a bargain and worth it

My review, this is an honest opinion of a this premium resort in the Dominican Republic. We booked the Sunclub premium swim up rooms which is the adult only section of the resort. The welcome Greeted with cold face towels and concierge service to get your bags to your room is always a good start. Shepherded to the premium check in where we were greeted courteously with keys and information to this point was smooth and enjoyable. We were then passed over to someone who was supposed to be our personal concierge. However, and this really annoyed me, he started to try to convince us to join a tour of Hyatt world, which was clearly a timeshare type scheme. We were assured a few hours of enjoying premium services and a look at the new apartments on offer with no pressure. When the chap was asking us to bring a credit card, "even an expired one will do" I'm afraid I began to lose my patience and told him in no uncertain terms that we wouldn't be playing this game. Our personal concierge handed over some vouchers which got us money off wine, massages at the spa and beach side meals and disappeared never too be seen again. Overall a good start ruined 4/10 Seriously Hyatt lose this quickly. The room and swim up. The room was spacious and being an Englishman abroad, not used to the heat, we were grateful of the air conditioning which keeps the room cold, sometimes too cold, but I'm ok with that for a comfortable nights sleep. Overall the room was clean, although a deep clean, particularly to get rid of the black mold that could be found around the bottom of the glass partition to the shower would be recommended. The doors to the patio area and swim up pool were a little misaligned and were secured with a steel bolt catch, which did seem to be secure. The beds were comfortable and large with a daily maid service that made the bed, cleaned the floors and replaced towels. There was a fridge that was supposed to be topped up daily with water, beer and soft drinks. This was a little hit and miss and often not refilled at all. A quick request on the app and this was corrected. The coffee machine is a filter bag affair that frankly made awful watery coffee, even with three bags. After a few days we took it in turns to do a coffee run to the excellent coffee outlet in the centre of the resort. Worth the walk for coffee that tasted, well, like coffee. The shower was good although temperamental heat wise, what worked for heat one day ran cold the next and vice versa. Overall 7/10 The food outlets. The buffet at Kaleidescope was generally good with a selection to suit most diets. The breakfast was good with fruit, cereals, yoghurt always available. The cooked breakfast from the buffet was also generally good with bacon, sausage and scrambled egg, not the British back bacon or traditional sausage but we are after all away from blighty. I booked this hotel April 18-25 , 2024. I bought the sun club, adults only package paid $800 more than my friends. Definitely not worth the money, premium drinks? Hard to find, they sometimes did not have local drinks like, rum, vodka, gin. Food was average, buffets very repetitive, a la cart restaurants were ok, Japanese and Italian were acceptable and good service. Buffets Service, very bad and slow, ask for a drink or water you dont get it, we timed it one time at Windows buffet waited 52 minutes for a glass of water. The Coffee bar was,excellent, Service was really good. Entertainment was great, specially Chocolate and others tried their best to make tourists happy, excellent. Rooms were very humid, mattresses were wet. At least one day my room was not cleaned, my room telephone was not working, reported it at least 12 times they did not fix or replace it Find that employees were very unhappy, rude and useless, unprofessional. I DO NOT RECCOMEND THIS HOTEL.

Our phone was stolen from the room and security team has no clue and urgency to find it. We were told by security head Mario that phone might have stolen from the balcony which doesn’t make sense, who will climb to 2nd floor, enter into our room during our presence and steal it? Instead of reacting faster they were blaming on us that we might have the phone. Room#3225 We did not find our phone

Extremely friendly staff with lots of activities to participate in everyday. Entertainment staff Rihanna, Big Boy, Nicki Minaj, Will Smith, Chocolate, and Black Forever were awesome! Bartenders/restaurant staff Frank and Ariel were so nice! With different shows each night, there is a variety of things to do as well as relax by the beach or pool. Great variety of restaurants, we were able to try almost all of them in the 5 nights we were there. Weekends are busy with locals that come for 2 nights, weekdays being more tourists. Overall great experience!

This resort was awesome everything was clean and the food was amazing. The entertainment staff was our favourite they had days packed full of activities and we never spent a moment bored. The shows were awesome the circus show was our favourite. Rihanna, Nikki Minaj, Black Forever and Big Boy are people we will always remember and tell our friends about. Frank the bartender was also a fan favourite during our trip. Definitely would recommend this resort for those of all ages.

The entertainment staff was excellent! to participate in throughout our stay! Rhianna, Nicki Minaj, Black Forever, Chocolate, and Big Boy all went out of their way to ensure we enjoyed our days in the sun through a variety of activities both on the beach and at the pool! The shows were wonderful as well! We also thoroughly enjoyed our time with Frank in the lobby bar and Ariel at the Kaleidoscope buffet! Overall, a great family friendly resort and we would highly recommend this resort!
