They play with the vacation time you have problem with the booking in the only way they fix we pay extra money.

The Bahia Principe Fantasia was a wonderful choice for a first stay at an all-inclusive resort in the Dominican Republic. It is family-oriented, but I went with two girlfriends to celebrate birthdays and retirement and had a fabulous time. The resort is one of seven Bahia Principe resorts that are adjacent to one another; the all-inclusive aspect means that one can go to almost all the other lobby bars and make reservations at specialty restaurants, but one cannot eat at other resorts' buffets. The "Larimar," the buffet at Fantasia, had a wide variety of food for every taste at all meals. As we had requested, we got groundfloor rooms; these were modern and very clean; housekeeping came every day to replace towels, make the beds, and sweep the floor--a necessity due to all the sand at their gorgeous and clean beach. The beach is within walkable distance but one has the option to hop onto a golf-cart trolley to get there and to the other resort lobbies. One of the most outstanding features of this resort was the genuine interest shown by the staff in making our stay the best it could be and the attention they paid to any request or question we had. I should say that one of our party spoke Spanish and that was an advantage; nonetheless, we were always greeted with smiles and willingness to help. I have no reservations about recommending it to friends and family and hope to come back again someday soon with my husband!

I wish the shows were announced and advertised better. We missed every show because lack of information. Maybe post shows at the end of every staircase, at the exit of restaurants and announcing shows at the pools.

The front desk and their systems are very old and outdated. Compared to newer resorts they would be rated a 2 star. Maybe 3.

Upon arrival, we didn't get the two rooms with two double beds, as booked, but the alternative, the king bed room with "sofa bed" was great for the kids. The sofa bed is not the old school metal sofa bed with thin mattress, it's more a futon style so we were very happy with our accommodations.
Lots of hot shower water 😁 daily.
Exceptional staff in all areas, food service, pool staff, bartenders and the quality control people. Always a smile and a fist pump for the kids, someone is always checking in to make sure your stay is missing nothing.
The buffet has so many options, we dined at the restaurants, but found the quality at the buffet fresher for our liking.
The kids pool and waterslides are a game changer for the kids. The canteen in the kids section let's kids be independent.
Very happy with our March break stay.

It never fails to deliver.

I took my son for his 3rd birthday. Everything outside the room was great. It was a lot of entertainment for us and my son. But the room was dirty. It had ants and roaches. The tub wasn’t clean. Nothing was clean inside the room.

The staff are very friendly and fun. The resort itself needs updating the rooms are old and musty. We had little bugs (we googled it and they were either sand fleas or nonseeums) it wasn’t a deal breaker but we did get bitten during the night so I’m thinking they were in the bed but so small and hard to see. My daughter left crackers on the night table and when we came back to the room from the pool the table was covered with them. My son left an empty glass that had Pepsi in it on the dresser and when we got back from dinner the cup was full of them! The fridge in our room was not working properly so items in there were not cold just room temperature. The shower leaked water onto the floor and into the toilet stall area. The cleaning staff did not replenish items in the room toilet paper and soap even with us leaving a tip of $2 daily. I’ve noticed over the last few years the quality has gone down but the price has increased. It’s a great resort for families with small kids cause they have a water park and pizza/ice cream shack attached but I don’t think I will be staying at this resort again unless it gets a major makeover. If you want a room side by side with another party you have to pull teeth to get it done! Service of the staff at dinner and pool is great they are attentive if you tip it goes a long way. Bring insect repellent with you the mosquitos are pretty bad. We saw a tiny cockroach in the main buffet late one night before closing which was gross.
