Fundalucia

Thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay at this cosy accommodation! Magnificent views, spacious rooms, magical ambience, and very helpful staff. We stayed in a private room with bathroom and everything was exactly as in the pictures. The accommodation is also very close to the short 30 minute bus ride to Granada. We will definitely be back.

Fundalucia is a special place. The venue is just gorgeous, placed on top of a hill overlooking the surrounding countryside. The atmosphere is quite special, it feels you are joining a family, and not another anonymous guest house. The rooms are really comfortable, surrounded by peaceful silence, and the common areas and toiles are always kept tidy and cleaned by the wonderful staff. The people there are nothing short of amazing, welcoming me with open arms, joining them as a solo traveler. The staff exudes a strong and positive vibe, making it feel like a special place, a little Eden. The kindness and connection I experienced were beyond words. Fundalucia felt like home, and it will forever hold a special place in my heart. I absolutely recommend staying at Fundalucia to others, and I am sure I will return someday.

This is a cool, tranquil hostel with friendly staff and guests. The patio is lovely, and the building is a cozy dark wood rustic vibe. Kitchen provided all we needed. Finding it was a challenge. I mapped it from the link that ******* sent to my Tripit app. The link actually took us up the mountains about 20 minutes from the location. The driving is a bit challenging - a serpentine mountain road that allows traffic both ways but too narrow for two vehicles (but doable because you go slow and there aren't many vehicles on the road). We eventually looked at our ******* app and discovered the true location (but in another hostel we were misdirected by the ******* app, so from now on we Google the location directly for our GPS). Once we arrived at the true location the signs for the Fundalucia are sp****. There's a letter "A" along with the sign, so when you get out and walk, look also for the "A" and be prepared to walk up a concrete hill adjacent to a school playground.

Very nice hostel, quiet, amazing terrace and surroundings.

I found this place on nomad stays and had planned to work a week from there. The place itself is beautiful and all but the room I had (the male dorm) is the worse room I have ever seen. This is a room for 3 persons with no window. No Window. NO WINDOW. You are in south Spain, in summer, in a small room with 2 other guys. And there is NO WINDOW. The Room was somewhere between 35°C and 40°C for the whole night although the night was somewhat fresh since you're in the Sierra Nevada. So yeah, I could barely sleep and realized there was no way I could work from there since I could not sleep. So I went to the manager which answered me right away in the worst full-of-himself manner that I was the first one to complain about the heat (I highly doubt that because you know, NO WINDOW) and that If I wasn't happy with their offer I could just leave the place. And so did I. Long story short, this place is in no way a nomad friendly place. It is actually not friendly for anyone because everyone needs to sleep and a window is such a nice way to get the heat out of your room after a nice hot spanish day. The staff doesn't give a buck about their client, if you have a problem there, they will just tell you how successful there place is and that if you're not happy with it, you can just find another place. Oh and also, did I mention there was NO WINDOW in the room ?
