Wide Mouth Frog Quepos

Horrible experience. The restaurant is under construction, the pool is closed, half the place is under construction. This was explained to me, but we arrived late and I had no other options. In our first room the sink was making horrible noises and there was water all over the floor. We changed rooms, and then that toilet didn’t work. The sheets were also very stained. We paid the same price as if breakfast was included, even though it wasn’t. I spoke with the manager and he was not helpful, the other staff were nice, but this place needs to be transparent about what you’re getting for the price. Construction started at 6 am, so good luck sleeping in. Our bathroom smelled awful, so we used the shared bathroom which felt dirty and didn’t even have a towel to wipe your hands. This place will probably be nicer once the construction is completed, until the I would not recommend anyone to stay there.

I stayed there for three nights. The last one I to moved to another room because I only booked for two. The room was very hot and the the ceiling fun was very noisy. The last night I stayed there the gate key wasn't working. The guy in the reception who came to help me had attitude. Every time I came in I had to call reception to open the gate for me - this was annoying but they have a nice little pool though.

The staff here are very friendly. We stayed in the apartment so we could have our own bathroom. The apartment is lovely and spacious, however the bathroom leaves a lot to be desired. The shower is cold and my partner who is an electrician didn’t feel safe with the wiring. We tried the communal showers but they were much the same but with geckos on the ceiling. The pool area is really nice with a nice garden. It is right in the centre of quepos however there is only on street parking. We had no problem as we visited in low season. Overall a good base to visit the area

We had a lovely stay of two nights here. We had a private room with AC. The pool was a lovely place to unwind in the evening. We met lots of interesting people (although I think we skewed the average age of guests by about 10 years). The rooms were nice, beds comfortable, staff helpful and friendly. Location was good, within walking distance of anything your needed.

Il s'agissait de notre première auberge dans ce pays, comment dire que nous avions eu une très bonne surprise. Piscine pour se rafraîchir, un VRAI espace en commun pour manger et échanger avec les autres voyageurs: le principe de l'auberge avec en plus une piscine et un cadre sympa!!

Ik sliep in de dorm die er opzich aardig netjes uitziet, al is de vloer best vies en liggen er overhaal haren. 's nachts is het ontzettend heet/benauwd +- 35 graden. Er hangen 2 ventilatoren die nauwelijks werken. De deur open laten staan is haast niet haalbaar, aangezien je anders wordt opgegeten door de muggen. Kortom, slechtste nacht ooit in een Costa Ricaans hostel. Het zwembad ziet er aardig uit en het is fijn dat ze een handdoek service bieden. De douchen zijn afschuwelijk en er zit op veel plekken schimmel. Ik heb al behoorlijk wat hostels in Costa Rica/andere landen gehad, maar dit was veruit de slechtste ervaring ooit!
