Friendly, helpful staff. Happy to assist with bookings and recommendations. Lovely breakfast of fresh fruit, granola, yoghurt, coffee, toast and eggs. Beds are so comfortable :) rooms are clean and spacious. Lovely garden area to relax in. Good wifi. Happy to provide storage for bags for day trips.

This was the Base hotel of our Intrepid trip , stayed here before and after our adventures, the staff were really helpful and gave great advice, organised Taxi,s etc, Maria and Patricio, were extremely nice and made our stay great, upgrading rooms and looking after us.

The Hotel was very friendly and safe. Once it was the British Embassy in Quito. The bedrooms were large and the bathrooms were clean. It was away from the central part of Quito so it was quiet. This meant not many restaurants close by. The owners looked after us with safe taxis and advice. There was a garden where one could sit and read. Breakfast was provided and they cooked eggs if you wanted them. Alison had good English and was very helpful when asked about Quito. They also organised day tours if required. This is a well Priced hotel for travellers.

Patricio and Maria were very pleasant and hospitable! The breakfast was delicious and the rooms very clean! It is clear they care about what they do and give great recommendations for local cuisine as well as advice as to directions and local things to do while in Quito!

We stayed here a total of 6 nights, broken up as we ventured off to other parts of the country, and every time we returned it felt like returning home. There’s not a lot of good cafes or restaurants located within a short walking distance (about 1.5km to the good ones) but it was in a safe area and the new, fancy metro is just around the corner. Staff were super friendly and had a family feel. Rooms were clean. Some of the nicest quality towels and bedding we experienced in Ecuador. I also greatly enjoyed the included breakfast and chilling out in the courtyard. Highly recommend as a great place to stay to give a good taste of Ecuador.

I stayed at the hotel for several nights in June, before & after a Galapagos tour. The staff were friendly & helpful. The room I was allocated was quite dark & very dated. It overlooked the courtyard. Breakfast was very simple. Able to have early breakfast when starting tours.

A very pleasant stay in a well situated hotel. I was on an intrepid tour and interior chose the hotel so that’s always clear evidence of the hotels quality. The breakfast was simple but enough, close to a metro and to an artisan market. Lovely flowers each day and a lovely central courtyard

This hotel has lots of old world charm of parquetry floors, chandeliers, ornate ceiling trims. Our room was very comfortable and I enjoyed the peace and quiet of the courtyard. The staff were efficient and super helpful, especially Patrick. Highly recommended.
