Evoca

We had a wonderful stay at Evoca B&B in Ragusa! Giuseppe was wonderful! He met us at a great parking spot that he suggested and drove us to the wonderful B&B. Breakfast was over the top with homemade treats and local delights!

I would characterize Ragusa and Evoca B&B as a highlight of our trip. Evoca is a beautifully restored small B&B located on a quiet street in lower Ragusa (“Ragusa Inferiore”). The rooms are spacious, bright, impeccably clean and thoughtfully appointed. The B&B itself has a delightfully inviting terrace with a wonderful view. The owner, Peppe, and his charming mother, are quintessential hosts. Each morning Peppe provided us with an amazing breakfast, which was served on the terrace. It could not have been more fun. Many thanks to Peppe and Mamma for a wonderfully memorable stay. I cannot say enough good things about this place.

Beautifully restored small B&B on a quiet street with a charming host- Giuseppe (Peppe) and his super sweet mom. Delicious breakfast buffet with some special items each day on the delightful terrace with views. The room was large, bright and with a lovely view out to the blooming redbud trees across the way. Nice bathroom with shower, sink and bidet and an electric window for ventilation. Comfortable bed and nice linens. Lots of thoughtful touches in the room - like shelves for small items, places to hang clothes, a mini fridge with (free) water, places to put luggage - and it was spotlessly clean. Peppe had great suggestions for sightseeing in the region. Parking, on the main road going into Ragusa Ibla, was easy and Peppe or his mom provided a ride to and from the B&B - very helpful not to have to carry luggage up the hill but an easy enough walk to the car without luggage. Laundry service available and reasonably priced. Fantastic communication before arrival, and during. It was hard to leave such a beautiful B&B and such a warm family.

We enjoyed 3 wonderful days with Peppe, who is as great a host as you could ever want ... and try not to miss interacting with Mama ... you'll immediately see where Peppe got his "NICE" from. And, yes, the B&B's room, location, and breakfast will satisfy you. All the prior super reviews are true.

What can I say but amazing everything. From the hotel to the location to the view to the breakfast to the vicinity to various sites. Wonderful stay. I would highly recommend. And Peppe our host was awesome. My son got an ear infection while there and Peppe helped sooo much. Even at 5:00 in the morning. Thank you for the laughs Peppe and the feeling of security. A presto! Giuseppe and his brother spent five years fashioning this small B&B with a lovely view near where they grew up. The care in doing so is evident throughout down to every last detail. Room #3 was warm and welcoming with gorgeous combinations of native stone, blue-themed tiles with sand-colored accents. It was our favorite room of our 2-week tour of Sicily Ragusa Ibla is delightful but impossible to drive in (for any slightly bigger car) so Giuseppe picked us at the free parking along the street below the property and gave us a quick driving tour of the town on the way back to the B&B and he welcomed us with some snacks and gave honest and authentic advice on what to see and where to eat – both nights' trattoria recommendations were spot on and within easy walking distance of the property. Breaksfasts were simple but good ... with Giuseppe asking us what else we might want/need. Although, he is proficient in English, I do believe my facility with Italian helped garner even more attention from Giuseppe. Seeing the other lovely Baroque towns of Modica and Scicli were an easy drive away but Ragusa was our favorite. Be prepared as Giuseppe does all business communication through WhatsApp, but it was legit and the best deal and, as I said, stay of our entire 2-week Sicilian adventure in early April 2022.
