We stayed for a week in September 2024. The hotel is well run, we had a large room overlooking Lake Maggiore. The position of Il Sole must be one of the best of any hotel on the lakeside. The gardens were lovely and include a decent size pool with sun beds and umbrellas, all of which were well maintained. Good parking available. The bedroom was comfortable although a little dated. We had lovely views from the balcony and windows of our room. The food in the Restaurant is brilliant as is the service. The staff at the hotel are some of the best we have ever encountered and work together as a team to ensure you have an enjoyable stay. Ranco is a small residential village with few amenities, however, we preferred the peace and quiet to the tourist driven bustle of Stresa and other towns on the west side of the lake. Our thanks to Andrea and everyone at the hotel for making our stay very enjoyable and to Davide, the Chef, for his delicious food.

First day of holiday and I have been a bit disappointed. Some good some bad but this is not a cheap hotel so you expect only goods. The place is nice, the room comfortable, the team is friendly and professional and the swimming pool very nice. with a nice view. A sort of little paradise but two things disappointed me. My room was on the restaurant with a special event with a girl playing violin very late. Obliged to put ear plug. So for breakfast a was expecting a very nice and calm moment. Unfortunately a guy was cutting grass in the hotel garden during Breakfast time.

We stayed in room 16, a huge room with a lake view. Rooms: style is old fashioned but cozy. Big bathroom Staff: they are amazing and make this hotel very special Food: we had dinner here. Food is very original and of great quality. Breakfast was wonderful The whole hotel is just so lovely. I would love to stay again

An amazing stay, the team were amazing from the moment we booked through to our farewell. The breakfast was tasty and so was dinner. Isolated area but perfect for us. Amazing views over lake Maggiore. Impressive facilities (but chilly for us but in summer will be great)

Le paradis sur terre ! Hôtel très bien situé . Nous avons pu avoir une chambre avec vue sur le lac et profiter de la piscine pour une petite pause farniente . Tout était parfait ,le personnel très prévenant et accueillant . Le petit déjeuner servi à table avec des produits de qualité . Nous recommandons sans hésiter.

Ero già stata due/tre volte in questo piacevole ristorante e ne ero uscita sempre molto soddisfatta. Ma stasera..forse lo chef era in vacanza? Sarà perché è agosto? Sarà stata una serata no? Fritto bruciacchiato, tagliata nella media, ricciola deludente, polpo anonimo. Per fortuna spaghetti freddi veramente squisiti. Location sempre gradevole ma il gioco non ha valso la candela. Peccato.

Un hôtel avec un charme fou à l'italienne. Choisissez de préférence une chambre côté lac avec balcon, ce qui vous permettra de profiter dès le matin du charme du lieu, avec une vue directe sur le lac. En plus d'un restaurant très agréable, le petit-déjeuner proposé le matin (sur la terrasse ombragée) est somptueux et très complet, avec une vue dégagée sur le lac.

Sehr schöner Aufenthalt in Ranco direkt am See im Hotel Il Sole. Ein Hotel an sehr schöner Lage und mit viel italienischem Stil und Ambiente. Sehr schön angelegter Park, tollem grossem Pool und schöner Gartenterassen. Gutes Essen, sehr freundliches Personal und Besitzerfamilie. Eine Neuentdeckung für uns die wir gerne Wiederholen werden.

Ottima struttura Camera ampia e ben arredata Bagno molto grande e Bello Accessori in camera infradito per piscina, set cortesia e accappatoio Struttira immersa nel verde con una bella piscina Colazione ricchissima con prodotti ottoni Sono pienamente soddisfatta il menu del ristorante è pieno di piatti interessanti serviti all’aperto con vista pazzesca Gentilissimo Il signor Andrea della reception
