Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton Regina East Gate

Good location. Quiet & safe part of town. Staff was polite but not overly helpful. Lobby area is nice but rest of hotel is average. I had a dog so maybe it’s just the floor they put pets on (2nd floor) but the hallway smelled extremely strongly of cat urine and the carpet was extremely wavy. Room was clean except for the carpet which had quite a bit of staining. Pool wasn’t open which was 90% of why I booked this hotel which was annoying. Breakfast was about average for a hotel in this price range. Had I known the pool wasn’t open I would have booked at the Super 8 which is comparable in quality but much cheaper per night.

Hotel was wonderful, beds were fantastic, pillows were also great, hotel staff was fantastic to deal with, rooms were clean and very modern, bathroom was like being at home, breakfast was great, lots of options for everyone. We stayed here after my daughter’s appendectomy before heading home and will be booking same hotel for future trips as it was very comfortable.

There was a terrible smell in the room. The carpet was rippled which was a tripping hazard. The upholstery on the chair was soiled and the main light switch in the room came apart so we couldn't turn on the main entrance light. We will not stay at this hotel again. The hotel is not up to Hampton standards.

The check in and check out experience was nice, as both staff members were friendly. This hotel needs a deep clean and proper renovation. I don’t think our carpets were vacuumed. The bedding and bathrooms were clean. The Alberta Hamptons seem nicer. But it did the job for an overnight stay. The breakfast was good and the staff in the breakfast area were nice.

Good location. Clean and comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful. Carpets in hallway were showing wear and lifting up. No streaming available via TV but good selection of channels. Close proximity to restaurants. The sushi place close by is great !

Room reasonably clean (other than the stained mattress pad under the sheets). Service was good, and bed was comfy. Good coffee, but we were unable to take advantage of the breakfast. We would have liked to be able to turn on the fan to block out noise in the building, but you could only have heat or air conditioning. Good value for the price paid.

It used to be a fairly clean property but it’s getting pretty run down. Last trip I lifted the fitted sheet and the mattress cover had about 20 red/brown stains and dust hairs etc just plain disgusting. I own a small hotel and our mattress covers are white and washed every time.
