Summer Dream

Wonderful location with 20 steps to a big supermarket, close to the beach and restaurants. The staff is attentive, sweet and helpful. The pool area is a tiny oasis with a pool bar that attracts quite a lot of guests. The entire area is kept clean and looks extremely inviting with lots of plants! We stayed in a ground floor room overlooking the pool - and loved every minute! We will definitely returen to this little paradise on earth.

Just returned from these amazing apar**ents! I cannot recommend them highly enough. Brand new with all the amenities you could wish for - induction hob, kettle, pots, pans and utensils, grill, espresso machine, fridge and freezer compar**ent, iron and ironing board and a washing machine. No toaster. Two flat screen TV's (not that I even turned them on!) Bathroom very modern. Enormous comfy bed. Housekeeping were amazing and friendly - particular mention to the wonderful Katerina and Vasoo (twin sisters). Great pool area and the food in the pool bar was incredible! Can recommend the Pork Gyros and Chicken Caesar Salad. Special shout out to William who is a new member of staff - what a lovely young man, so helpful. He is, and will be, a huge asset to the team. I liked the location, opposite a beautiful sandy beach and about a half hour walk to the port of Rethymnon and the old town. A really nice flat walk along the seafront. I would return to these apar**ents in a heartbeat- and intend to! Would also recommend a daytrip to Chania - beautiful, amazing shops and restaurants. Costs around 20€. Have a wonderful stay!

A great hotel, really excellent, that hosted us with a generous hand, with a lot of warmth. The location is excellent, the rooms are clean, new and spacious, the service is excellent and the hotel manager, Nitza, helped us a lot. We stayed at the hotel for a few days and felt like home. Highly recommend

Fantastic October break. Stayed self catering in lovely studio No 108 overlooking pool exactly as in the pictures. The bed large and comfortable the linin first quality and our room spotlessly cleaned every day, think it helps if you keep the room tidy first. On our stay no problem getting sun lounger by pool. The pool a little small maybe for high season but the perfect beach and sea 2 min walk from pool by back road entrance. The location a little out of town 30 min easy walk for fit people. But nearby everything you could want, super markets, bakery and coffee shops. 5 min walk to lots of nice restaurants. Hired a car parked for free in hotel car park, but could be tricky to find space in high season.

What a great apar**ent complex. Very pleased with one bedroom apar**ent with aircon in both rooms along with flat screen TV's. Nice patio with table and chairs (although we were ground floor right opposite the pool bar which did have music on until late at night a few nights a week). Only downsides, no grill/oven or toaster and no storage in bedroom, could have done with some drawers. Pool and bar area always clean and tidy. No problem with getting a sunbed throughout the day. Staff very friendly, reception staff very helpful with advice on local buses (buy a €1 ticket from mini mart next to bakery, see pictures for bus ride into old town) and helped with our transfer back to airport. Beach is 2 minute walk away where you can get a sunbed free as long as you buy drinks. Restaurants within minutes also. 30 min walk into town along beach rood or bus option from supermarket next door. Fantastic coffee/bakery 5 minutes walk away, make sure you go to the second one, see photos! All in all it's probably one of the few apar**ents I would go back to.

Had a 5 night stay at Summer Dream. We were two families - and each with 1 Room Deluxe Apar**ent. The apar**ent was surprisngly large and comfortable and the AC worked perfectly.Facilities seemed quite new and well maintained. I will note that I was a little taken aback by how the immediate area OUTSIDE the hotel looked, but, it did not really take area the stay. Hotel located close to beach and a (40-45 minute) walking distance to the Old City. The pool area is large and there is not need to scramble for sunchairs. Also, there is a childrens' pool that came in very handy as we were travelling with a 2 year old.There is a nice supermarket next door. The staff was perhaps the most professional and friendly staff that I have encountered and that was a truly nice addition to the stay. Special thanks goes to Nitsa - who is always 'on things' to make certain that things are going well. The staff in the breakfast are (esp. Katerina - I think...) was also very pleasant and could not do enough for us. The food selection was good-and I appreciated their sensitivity to the needs of gluten-free individuals. One thing that could be improved is that I got the sense that sometimes some foodstuffs not consumed were put out again (desserts, rolls). Also, the music in bar area is nice-as is the woman working there - but it's on all day until midnight-a bit too much. Particulalry as not many guests seemed to partake of the bar area - and the music is clearly heard in rooms - until very late.

We had a brilliant time at Summer Dream! The staff were very welcoming and helpful from day 1, Katerina and William on the poolside bar are brilliant! The rooms are great, we had 1 bed family room, all the mod-cons including AC which was great plus the beds are huge! The cleaners come in regularly and so the rooms are kept very clean. The poolside bar is a little bit pricey and i think the breakfast is expensive unless you have it everyday in which case you get a discount, however the portions are very big and the food is good quality. The pool is a little small/shallow for me but perfect for a splash and the kids absolutely loved it, its kept very clean and we had no issues finding sunbeds at any time of day. The beach is just over the road and its about a 30 min stroll to the old town or the front desk were very helpful in ordering a cab if we needed one. On the whole, a beautiful hotel in a great location. Crete is a magical Island and i would definitely recommend Summer Dream!

Me and my family had a lovely, comfortable stay here at Summer dream. When we arrived we had been upgraded to 2 separate double rooms instead of the one room we had booked for our comfort. Child and family friendly. Poolside clean, had no issues there. Housekeepers came near enough everyday to make the bed, fresh towels and clean. The kitchen facilities were good, we made breakfast everyday and really enjoyed sitting on the balcony. Location is great. Less than 2 minutes walk to the beach. A big supermarket right next door on the left on the main road. A lovely bakery 10 minutes walk that way. Lots of restaurants, beach huts, and excursions to do. The water sports is fun to do on the beach. A lovely busy town about 30 minutes along the beach. Would definitely recommend and will be coming again!

Clean and modern .very friendly staff very welcoming even after flight delay meant arrived at midnight.couldnt fault the accommodation and attentive reception very helpful just ask pool bar lady trying hard to please everyone
