Whashton Springs Farmhouse B&B

The visit was superb! The hosts were lovely - nothing was too much trouble and their son even helped to bump start our motorbike as the battery had drained! The setting and rooms are beautiful, idyllic and peaceful and the bed to die for! Breakfast was amazing and really sets you up for the day. The local town of Richmond has some wonderful bars and restaurants, particularly the Tapas. Lots of places to visit or walk to in the local area. I couldn’t recommend this place enough! Thanks for a wonderful stay.

Jane and Fergus the cat made us feel very welcome at this lovely farmhouse retreat. Perfect spot for walking in the Dales, and plenty of restaurants/ pubs in nearby Richmond to keep us fed and watered of an evening. Breakfast was delicious and cooked to order. They had no trouble providing gluten- free and dairy-free options for me at breakfast every morning. The room was spacious and very comfortable, and fantastic water pressure in the shower (a personal bugbear for me usually)! On a more prosaic note, there was plenty of guest parking overlooking the chickens and the drive was well signposted from the road, so super easy to find after a long drive up North. Whashton has definitely made it onto our list of preferred stopping off points when we travel this way in future.

Quiet and tranquil location,friendly welcoming owner and staff. Outstanding breakfast -local produce. Very clean,stylish accommodation and really enjoyed our stay. Hope to return.

This place is a little gem surrounded by open fields and fabulous scenery of the countryside. Jane the owner was the perfect host. Breakfast on both days was superb cooked using local supplies and delicious! I would highly recommend anyone to stay here….

A lovely overnight stay with a very comfy bed and lovely room. A good choice at breakfast too. A warm welcome from Jane and a special mention for Fergus the cat. This was a great find and the scenery is stunning.

A great find for our overnight stay. The room was huge with a nice en suite and the bed very comfy. The breakfast had plenty of choice and was very tasty. The accommodation is part of a working farm but was very peaceful and it was surrounded by stunning scenery. Finally a thank you to Jane for the warm welcome and hospitality and a special mention for Fergus the very friendly cat.

I enjoyed my stay at Whashton Farm very much. I live in London and the country setting was just what I needed. The surroundings were beautiful and it was quiet. The air was clear. It was close to places of interest to me and I had lots to do in Richmond and further afield. The walks were fine and I enjoyed my tour of the Georgian Theatre in Richmond, as I go to the theatre often in London.

The house itself has historic character and is surrounded by scenic dales farmland. A peaceful setting. An excellent breakfast is on offer.

Beautiful setting, close to Richmond (2 miles) and easy access to A1. Can’t wait to go again in a leisurely capacity.
