My first time staying at a Candlewood hotel and I absolutely loved it . The front desk people were so nice and it was so clean just a really great hotel I will be coming back and staying. This is my hotel now when I come to Richmond

Very convenient location to Univ of Richmond and lots of dining choices and shopping areas nearby. Check-in was very efficient and staff was helpful.

The employee at check in claimed the hotel couldn’t accept my Chase Visa (that I literally use for all my purchases) and gave us no information. The room was beautiful and spacious…but smelled extremely strongly of urine throughout the whole room. Very poor experience, would not return.

Check in was suppose to be at 11:30,but my room wasn't ready until the late afternoon.The desk clerk was wonderful and helped me find my destinations so I could meet up with my family. When I arrived back my room was ready .The bed was very comfortable and they gave me some extra snacks to enjoy. I would recommend staying there. Now the property wasn't glamorous but very clean and the staff very friendly .

We had a Long wait at front desk waiting for someone to show to check us in. The rooms were clean but shabby.

Bedroom was nice but the bed and sofa were really hard . Tv remote did not work either .

We came to this property because we were displaced due to a circumstance out of our control at another property. There was an issue when we got to Candlewood on Dickens Dr. so I feel like we were put on the backside of the building with a lot of noise from businesses behind the hotel because there was a misunderstanding when we first arrived. There were plenty of rooms that were empty our entire stay. Then the furniture, I’ve never been to an upscale hotel and had furniture that looked and slept like it came from a thrift store. Long story short, that Candlewoods Suite on Dickens Dr will never get anymore of my money. I’m not even going to speak on how loud the guest were on the same floor as we were on.

The second time staying here, and it never fails me!!! Great stay, bed was extremely comfortable, and front desk staff was welcoming.
