the staff were rude to me and my children it was not very skibidi of them they even tried to steal my jewellery i would like if they had a talking to thank you that's all i need from you today maybe even new staff !! some of the staff even taught my son a swear word that i will not repeat. i want more skibidi sigma staff please and thank you

My Mum and I stayed at the Hotel Garda for a week in June through Jet2holidays and were thoroughly impressed. All the staff were extremely welcoming and friendly, the hotel and grounds were spotless, rooms really comfortable and the food was fantastic. I’d like to particularly mention and thank the restaurant staff who were exceptional. I am vegan and each morning I was given my own croissants and advised from the menu what the chef could adapt to a vegan version. I enjoyed some terrific meals, and with the breakfast buffet full of fresh fruit & cereal, and the evening salad bar, ate healthier than ever :-) The hotel bikes which can be used free of charge for guests were a great way to get around using the cycle paths along the lake shore and into the Arco valley. I’d definitely recommend the hotel to anyone.

We have been to this hotel many times over the past few years. Gabriella and the staff do their very best to make all guests welcome and greet us like old friends. I suffer from back problems and I had requested a mattress topper which was on the bed when I arrived. We had upgraded to a Classic Plus Room for a wonderful view down the Lake. Thanks to all for a fabulous holiday.

Positives first - the hotel is well situated for the north of the lake - about a 20 minute walk into the old town Riva and similar to Tiboli in the opposite direction. The pool is clean as is the hotel generally. Our general view of this hotel was influenced by the breakdown of the air conditioning, which was creaking and groaning on the first night we arrived and then proceeded to breakdown altogether and wasn’t fixed for a further 5 days - not good when only there for a week. The hotel offered us a fan which didn’t help at all but it was at least a gesture. The rooms are quite small but functional. The swimming pool is small but clean but only has around 20 sun loungers round it - so need to get up early if you want a space. The balcony in our room was tiny and a triangle shape so you need to squeeze through to get seated. Not ideal but it sort of qualified as a balcony. Restaurant food was ok - breakfast was generally good and the evening meals were ok although choice limited to a couple of dishes a night - but supplemented with lots of veg and sides from the buffet. Our honest opinion was that the hotel feels more like a three star and could do with some modernisation.

We had been to Riva in 2022 and decided on the Hotel Garda due to the food reviews. We were glad we did! Breakfast was nicely comprehensive and had everything we needed..and more. Outside of Scotland, this is the first hotel where I managed to have my favourite breakfast of all time - scrambled eggs with smoked salmon everyday I was there! Evening meals were chosen at breakfast and we were impressed by their quality - especially nice to get authentic Italian food like Vitello Tonnato as a starter - delicious! The staff were superb - every one. We cannot remember all their names but the two Danielas and the dark-haired lady who checked us in were professional and informative. Marco and his lady deputy plus the waiters at breakfast and dinner were excellent and had a good sense of humour. The two guys on the bar who served us excellent G & Ts in happy hour were brilliant! It's an easy walk to the lake and from there a lovely flat walk to the centre of town from where we would get a local bus back for free with the GardaPass. There's a supermarket in walking distance also. All in all, a great visit and we truly would love to come back next year. Thanks to you all xxx.

So confused by these reviews! Comparing to other hotels I’ve stayed in, this is not a four star hotel. It is a three star hotel. The location being so near to the lake was amazing. But the hotel itself was disappointing for the price. The place was shabby and not well maintained. Flickering light bulbs and broken tiles. A lacklustre breakfast. There was only one solitary plug socket in the bedroom, plastic cups, and a built in hairdryer from the 80s which barely dried my fringe. The extractor fan in the bathroom was broken so there was no ventilation and it became damp and stinky and nothing was done when we reported this. The air conditioning was ancient and sounded like a broken car so we could only sleep with earplugs. The pool was lovely although small, but being right by a main road made it much less peaceful than many other hotels in the area. If we had paid half what we did I would have been happy, but from price, the star rating and the excellent photography we were expecting more. Riva itself is spectacular and will definitely be going back, but will look for alternative accommodation.

This is a high quality hotel but what makes it really special is the staff! They can’t do enough for you from arrival to departure. Flora the receptionist was very helpful and knowledgeable. The quality of food and service in the restaurant is exemplary. It is truly a dining experience! We will return and hopefully to the same hotel or another in their chain. Thank you for a lovely visit.

this is a great hotel in a great location the staff were so helpful and friendly the rooms were clean and spacious and food was excellent if your going to lake Garda this is the place to stay or any Tonelli hotel lake Garda is just a great place to be

The hotel rooms were comfortable and clean but not very modern. That didn’t bother us but balcony was tiny. Had to shuffle on and off. Staff friendly and helpful. Location great for lake but it’s a 20 min walk to Riva centre which was a pain in the heat. Biggest complaint was food. Breakfast was good. Lots of choice and loved the juicer. It was evening meal that let it down. Only 3 choices of which one was always vegan and one nearly always a fish like octopus. When you order chicken it was a leg or salmon was very bony. Just not very good and we ended up eating out a few times or going over the road for ice cream afterwards as we were hungry. Pool nice but often crowded with no loungers. Loved happy hour.
