This is a very good Holiday Inn Express. It is extremely clean and well run. The staff is professional. Our room was a 2 queen bed room with a sofa and screened in balcony. I enjoyed sitting outside on the balcony after dinner. It is right on the river which is nice but the view (other than the river) is of an abandoned factory. The included breakfast was better than most. The beds were comfortable with four pillows per bed and you could choose soft or firm. The bathroom was well designed and we had plenty of towels. We would certainly stay here again.

I wasn't expecting much out of a Holiday Inn in rural Illinois—but boy, was I wrong! My room had a screened balcony overlooking the river, the beds were so so comfortable, and the omelets included in the free breakfast were to die for. I hope I can stay here again!

This Holiday Inn Express was the nicest we've stayed in. The front desk staff made us feel welcome. Our room was comfortable. We happened to be there an evening when they served hors d'oeuvres, fruit and wine in the breakfast room. It was raining, so nice not to have to leave the hotel. The breakfast was also good with many choices. It's possible to sit in the breakfast room and look out over the Rock River.

This Holiday Inn Express was beautifully sited on the riverfront in Rock Falls, viewing the twin city of Sterling and the bridge connecting the two towns. Well-appointed rooms with every amenity sparkling clean and functioning nicely. Great breakfast with lots of different selections. Attentive and very pleasant staff, including a maintenance tech they sent over immediately to assist when we had trouble getting the Keurig coffee machine to work. Really a winner!

I try to only stay in Holiday Inn expresses due to their high quality but this particular Holiday Inn Express is the best one I have ever been to ever. The staff is incredibly friendly & goes up and above to do whatever it takes to make you feel comfortable and meet your needs. The hotel is very clean,quiet,comfy beds, and have rooms facing the river for a very nice view with a patio to sit on .Plenty of choices for breakfast including two types of potatoes and meats. I just wish they had choices for gluten-free way of eating like I am on. there is plenty of different types fast food, and sit down restaurants including a few grocery stores in the area though. I will definitely be back here next time. I’m working in the area.

This is an outstanding motel. We had a room with a balcony that overlooked the river, and it was so nice, that we stayed an extra day! I'd suggest getting one of those rooms. In the evening, there were complimentary snacks and drinks, and the breakfast buffet in the morning was a big cut above the typical motel offerings. Our bed was comfortable, the room was spacious and clean, everything was excellent. The staff members were just great -- friendly, helpful, and courteous. Absolutely would stay here again.

Very clean, very friendly and helpful. Our room was 203. The beds were clean and comfortable. The only reason I could not give it a 5 star review, was the mini fridge made a constant high pitch whine. It didn't bother hubby but for me it was very annoying and triggered a migraine. Other than that, I highly recommend.

Comfortable beds, wonderful bathroom (shower, mirror, etc.), delicious breakfast. Don't miss the cinnamon rolls! We had a slight hiccup with our reservation as part of a group reservation for our large extended family group, but the front desk worked it out. I'm looking forward to staying here again next time I'm in the area.

We stayed at this hotel for two nights in August and were pleased with every aspect of our stay. The room was very nice. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The room also included a comfortable reading chair with a great light overhead. The room was clean and spacious. We opted for the balcony room so we had the view of the review. Honestly the view is just ok. Sterlings waterfront is what you see and it is dominated by derelict industrial buildings. Still the view to the west was good. We liked the breakfast. Lots of hot and cold food options. Everything was good except the scrambled eggs which were runny the breakfast was almost as good as what we would have had in most restaurants. I’m not sure how old the propert is but everything seemed pretty new in the room and common areas.
