Pegasus Hotel

Stayed here for the first week of the season and had a really great week. I really wanted to give a 5 star rating but there were a couple of things which I believe should have been put right (or checked) even before I had arrived as I was the first person staying in my allocated studio for the beginning of the season. I will mention the things which were a let down and then follow with the positives. First, I only had electric for the first 10 minutes I was in my studio, I reported straight away and it was looked at straight away but to no avail so an electrician had to be called. It turned out to be a faulty card reader (where you put your room key fob), this was rectified after about 1 hour, which was not a massive issue as I had gone out to explore and get some essentials from the shop across the road. Secondly, the shower - went to have a shower the next morning and no water out of the overhead showerhead - again I reported and it was looked at and it turned out the shower head had to be replaced - which was done quite quicky. Thirdly - maybe a Jet2 listing error but there website says there is an iron and ironing board supplied - there was an ironing board (albeit a small one) but no iron. And lastly - again maybe a Jet2 error but website says Wi-Fi available in the rooms. There was no Wi-Fi in my room (only by the pool area). Not a massive problem as I have unlimited data and the 4g/5g signal gave really great speeds. That's the negatives out of the way, and now the positives - 1. The family - what a great bunch of people! 2. Cleanliness - everywhere clean and maid service excellent 3. Bar area and food - good selection of drinks and food 4. Location - about 10min walk to the beach and main part of Roda, small shop across the road (please aware this complex can be 45mins to 1hr from the airport) 5. Pool area - spotlessly clean and plenty of comfortable sunbeds Some tips - only 1 toilet is provided so be prepared to bring some or buy some. No washing up liquid is supplied, so again be prepared to bring or buy some. Apologies for the lengthy review! Hotel is on a very busy main road ,room we had was close to the road which meant a lot of traffic noise ,room was basic but ok for what we needed ,bathroom was very basic definitely need updating shower very small ,bar area was nice seating inside and out ,pool area was great great size pool and snack bar all well maintained, hotel was very clean ,breakfast was basic but always something to eat ,would of been nice to have at least one night of entertainment or bbq ,reception staff were really friendly and helpful, hello to Jo ,short walk into Roda ,we had a nice week ,could be a really good hotel if rooms were updated ,there is also no lift at hotel ,a lot of stairs .

We stayed a week at the Melinda Apar**ents. We had a great time! Great garden/ pool area with plenty of sunbeds. Apar**ents are clean and you get all you need for self catering. The hotel is near by restaurants and bars .

Wow where do I begin? Absolutely fantastic week we have had here, the family run hotel is very laid back customer service but you cannot fault it, there is a reason over 60% of the clientele here are returning year upon year! The hotel is immaculate, all uk spirits/guiness/bottled beer available.. a “snack” menu served all day that is a full menu… George and Adonis (the father/uncle) are brilliant, really tasty food and such a relaxed a**osphere here. The son Nikos is brilliant all around, a small knit family run hotel that care about the small details and go the extra mile to make sure the entire holiday was an enjoyable one! Already booked again for next year and can see many more to come… thankyou to the whole team for making our holiday! 2* is an insult to you guys. YAMAS🍻

The apar**ent was fine except for the toilet when we had a shower it would come up and flood the bathroom my daughter reported it but nothing was done I think the people that did the work for them must have been Gerry builders or they took it on themselves otherwise a good fortnight

One of the friendliest hotels we have ever been in, staff and guests alike. Felt like you were with family. Gorgeous quiet pool, so clean and relaxing chilled music. This hotel is just a few minutes walk away from the lovely centre of Roda which was great.

A great hotel, lovely clean rooms, and continental breakfast included. Amazing pool and pool bar. What makes it more special are the amazing staff! Sarka the owner is very friendly and always helpful, helping to book trips and very informative. The staff, Georgia who runs reception in the evening and Maria who runs the hotel bar are so friendly and love to chat and make you feel so welcome. A big shout out to our wonderful Desi who runs the pool bar. Amazing at her job and always good fun and happy to chat and makes great cocktails! Missing you already! Also a big thank you to Dimitris (pool snack bar) makes yummy food, great portions and very tasty! It’s a wonderful place to stay. Our 4th time and can’t wait to book again! Tip: Book direct and everything is then included I.e. air con/safety deposit box/hairdryer and private transfer - much cheaper to do this way. Sarka is very quick to respond. Yes the bathrooms are basic but this is what Greece is like, please do not let this put you off staying here as the rooms are lovely and clean.

I had a great holiday in Roda at the Pegasus. Room and balcony at front of hotel was comfortable. Georgia at reception booked me 2 boat tours, great sightseeing with swim opportunities. All reception staff hotel staff, all friendly helpful. Lovely breakfast. The pool is wonderful here, good music and a**osphere. Thank you to all I hope to return, like the other returning guests.

The positives are the location as it's only a short walk on the main Roda ***** and around 10 mins to be on the beach. The pool bar server was amazing, friendly and she couldn't do more for guests. The main pool kitchen chef made some incredible lunches and was always considerate. The main downside was one member of staff (who I believe was the owner). Zero customer service. I experienced and overheard lacklustre and rude interactions with guests. Why he does anything customer facing is beyond me because it's clear he despises it. Also, breakfast is disappointing. Served 8-9:30am meaning no lie in if you want to eat. And when you do crawl out of bed, it's mainly stale pastries, bread and cereal. There are 2 'hot' options each day with 1 being baked beans everyday. It's a sad choice for breakfast and considering it's the only meal they include in the price, you'd hope they improve it. Loungers were easy to come by. The pool is a great size. Large beer was around 4 euros with cocktails being 8 euros. They do offer table tennis for free but pool tables require coins. No entertainment and the activity facilities need improvement
