A fabulous hotel with a beautiful private balcony. Romantic, fabulous location for shopping, eating & sightseeing. The hotel was immaculate, the bed was so comfortable. The room was beautiful. There wasn’t any window or ventilation in the bathroom, so a bit steamy. The towels looked a bit tired and it would have been nice if there were proper glasses and mugs in the room rather than paper and plastic. However the room was really lovely. The hotel staff were really helpful and kind. . The breakfast was delicious. We don’t normally like buffets but it was small & fresh and the staff continually stocked it. Over all we thoroughly recommend it and would definitely go back. Location to railway to the airport is also walking distance.

Hotel was very nice and staff were welcoming. Located near a plaza with a surprisingly good outdoor restaurant. Also very near the train station and steps to the subway, could not have been more convenient.

Cleanliness excellent, friendly staff, good location. Powerful shower. Ironing facilities on communal landing. Room was on the small side with no view. Beds and pillows were quite hard,but we walked so much in the day sleeping was not an issue. I was surprised by takeaway coffee cups I hhe room.eould have preferred ceramic cups

Hotel Mascagni is situated next to Piazza della Repubblica (metro) and a few minutes’ walk from Termini train station, which connects to all of Italy and FCO airport. And if, like me, you find central Rome best navigated on foot, it’s adequately located to reach pretty much anywhere you need to get to. I was upgraded to one of the rooms on the fourth floor of an adjacent building. My room was comfortable and clean, with a good shower. It was situated on the back side of the building, away from the noisy road that passes the hotel. For me, this was much appreciated. You can store your bags there in case of early arrival. Breakfast caters for every expectation. All in all, reasonably priced and satisfactory. Not flash, but a solid performer - at least for a business traveller like me - that’s worth a return visit.

We arrived fairly late and we had a warm greeting, we were moved here from our original hotel and it was such and upgraded( we found the original hotel about 5 mins walk from here ). We were in the second part of the building very straight forward to find our room. The room was beautiful and had all we needed, the free mini bar was handy. Would been handy to have a information pack. Luckily we right opposite the breakfast room, and the breakfast was lovely and had a nice selection. We did experience some loss of power on 2 nights, the first time it was resolved quickly second time it was most rooms on our floor. We were about 20mins walk from the colosseum and roughly the same for the trevi fountain. Housekeeping sometimes didn't replenish our coffee cup as they were paper cups which made hard to have a drink in the room, also they never took the rubbish out. We would recommend this hotel hands down.

Great location, clean rooms, breakfast -- Spacious room enough for family of 4 -- We stayed for two nights and our room looked like the one in many of the pictures we saw before we reserved our room. One quirk we experienced was that we had to drop off the key when we left every time to the front desk..... not a big deal to us but we didn't know going in. We'd stay here again but it wasn't cheap, so make sure the location is worth it.

We enjoyed our stay here. Rooms are a little small, especially bathrooms but this is an old building so it's to be expected. AC worked great. Staff kind and helpful. A little walk will get you to major attractions and nice restaurants. Great breakfast in a cozy room. Thank you esp to Luciano at the front desk who is such a gentleman. The night concierge whose name I can't remember was also very helpful with great restaurant suggestions. Taxi stand right outside hotel was also a big help.

The Mascagni never disappoints, while the rooms the traditional hotel are starting to show their age it’s a charming experience with great attentive service and an abundant breakfast.
