Gidea Park Hotel

Chose this hotel due to location for train station into London and off the motorway Good service as soon as I booked with a call to ask if I wanted twin or double room Hotel itself is basic but clean with good two. Beds Shower was clean and powerful and towels soft and fresh Has a car park at the rear which is accessed through a narrow arch which may be an issue but it was free! Lady on reception was lovely and helpful too Hotel is on a main road so was noisy and walls are thin so you can hear people going in and out Didn’t stay for breakfast but the bacon smelt good

I don’t know where to begin! Dirty bath, no log in for tv, no plug for bath, nothing to hang shower head on so stood holding. Open shower gel and nothing else. Toilet seat had literally eroded away. Bar shut, left outside by cleaner for 10 mins upon arrival. Constant sirens going past. Walls thinner than my patience for the place. Shower curtain used to be white I think? No bath mat, 1 pillow but it was large and solid. Used my jumper instead. This venue is a hostel at best. Lucky I’m here on my own as I would not have accepted this for anyone in my family.

The location was very convenient for a family visit in romford. The check-in was swift with friendly staff. The bathroom was new and very clean as was the bedroom. However the heating in the bedroom was not functioning properly so it was cold night(!)

What a lovely hotel with amazing staff who looked after me and anything I needed.Only an overnight stay as I was attending a football match but would have no hesitation in staying longer or reccomending to anyone. And a lovely breakfast too.

A basic but very clean hotel. Our room was the smallest "double room", we have ever stayed in!!! You need to order breakfast (extra charge) the evening before but my husband was accommodated on the morning, when he wanted something different. The staff were very pleasant and there is adequate parking.

We stayed here recently whilst visiting family nearby. The rooms were lovely, clean & comfortable, with a lovely modern bathroom. The breakfast was really lovely and couldn't really be faulted. We are happy to revisit & to recommend to others.

Friendly greeting from receptionist upon arrival. The room was great, better than expected. Very clean and had everything needed. Large tv, good bathroom, comfortable bed Couldn’t fault it. Don’t be put off by the outside. I would certainly recommend based on my room

We travelled as a family of 3 with our 8 month old baby and stayed in the apar**ent. The location is great as its close to shops allowing us to pick up last minute essentials and has parking in front which was very helpful to move all the baby stuff ! There was no noise interference from the road. The apar**ent is very spacious and was very clean. We had so much space for our daughter to play in the dining area. The bathrooms and room spaces are very modern and comfortable. The garden was an added bonus in the lovely weather. Would recommend 100% .

First the good news...the room was clean and freshly decorated, the staff friendly and the breakfast tasty and good value for £9 a head. There was a bus stop right outside, with buses every few minutes, and a couple of cafes with 100 yards or so. Now for the not so good...Had the room been a single, it would have been fine, but actually it was let as a standard double...which meant there was hardly any space at one side of the bed and not much more at the other. Space was at such a premium that we had nowhere to stow our case and had to keep moving it around to get to the bathroom. To make more space, we stored the bin in the wardrobe. The latter was an open rack with just five hangers and no full-length hanging space, while storage was just a couple of open shelves. We stayed three nights, during which time the room was never cleaned. The bin wasn't emptied, nor the towels changed.
