Rotherham East (M18/M1)

Definitely below average for a Premier Inn. I stay in them frequently for work and this has come in second to last place. The hotel itself is quite run down. The stairways were in dire need of meeting a hoover! Inside the room it wasn’t as clean as usual. There was (first time I’ve seen this) a wee card asking for a review with the name of the person who cleaned the room - so here goes, Olga. You need to get some bleach down that toilet. It looks fine looking directly down on it but stand in front of it and look and it’s decidedly black along the waste pipe. Yuck! The shower needs to be cleaned including all surfaces. Having someone else’s hairs left there is not nice! And you definitely need to get acquainted with a scrubbing brush - especially between the shower tiles and around the plug holes in the bath and sink!!! Oh - and one of the pillow cases was on inside out. On the plus side it’s a handly location, easily accessible and has the usual comfortable Premier Inn bed. The plumbing makes quite loud clicking noises and the noise of doors banging in the corridor was not conducive to a good night’s sleep. Maybe new hinges are needed to help the doors close more quietly? Oh - and the water pressure in the shower wasn’t the usual great Premier Inn experience, it was about half the usual pressure. Poor. Not a hotel I’ll be keen to return to!

We came to stay at this hotel on a busy bank holiday Sunday we were welcomed by the lovely Lynn, who was super helpful and very welcoming nothing was too much for her and she made us feel at ease after a long 3 hours jounery to Rotherham Thank you Lynn

Needed a room for the night, due to an early appoin**ent the following morning! Well located, sainsburys an tesco on your doorstep, take-away, bar/bistro next door. The Beefeater is apart of the hotel and was a nice meal! A little further down the road is another pub a few shops and a Boots! Familiarise yourself with the area (bus/taxi) as its a fair trek from town centre!

Was made to feel very welcome when we arrived, I had spoken to Lynn on the phone during the week to check all ok and she instantly remembered and referred to our call. Was very helpful. Room was very clean and had everything we needed. Breakfast was really good and freshly cooked

This was the first time staying solo in many years, the staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and safe. Many thanks to Lynn on reception who was so helpful and friendly! The beefeater next door served lovely food and again the staff were really warm and helpful.

Stayed over the May Bank Holiday whilst in Sheffield for the British Youth Fencing Championships. Bizarrely had the same room as last year. Room clean and tidy, with all amenities working. Water pressure a bit low so shower was not the best. Other than that, all good.

We have stayed in several Premier Inns over the years and I’ve got to say this one is definitely in need of a face lift. On the plus side however, the bed and pillows were very comfortable as you would expect, I always get a good nights sleep at a Premier! The highlight of our stay was the friendly staff, in particular Lynn on reception, we felt as if we’d known her for years, she is a tremendous asset to the hotel.

Perfect location, quiet rooms, and incredibly friendly staff. Ideally placed for access to the motorway. Stayed here to edit my book, so tranquility was really important to me. Restaurant staff even let me borrow a fork for my rake away!!!

Fantastic service from check in to check out. Clean and well presented room, attentive staff (Lynn, Jamie and Liz on check in/out). Food was nicely presented and good quality. Would definitely recommend!
