Due to our motorhome breaking down, this was the hotel our insurance company put us in. Stayed 3 nights. Room was small but comfortable. Good pillows and bed was comfy. The staff were so lovely, a couple spoken a bit of English. Breakfast was continental and 9€ each. Great coffee and love fresh breads. The orange juice machine great. Weather was lovely so had breakfast on the terrace. This hotel is in a trading estate. We had no transport so we're only able to walk. There is a Decathlon in about half a mile. Also in other direction there is a U-Save store, also about half a mile away. So spent a lot of time in room watching Bastille day celebrations. A nice hotel with great staff, who went over an above to make our enforced stay pleasant.

It’s a good choice to come to this hotel if you have the opportunity in the summer, the privacy is good and the high-speed outer ring is convenient, the hotel room service is humanized and the service is very heartwarming, and the check-out time does not stop urging, which gives us enough patience and trust . Ideal for a trip or short stay. After various hotels, you will be happy to stay in a structure that offers a mini-apartment of 30 mq with kitchen, bathroom and washing available. The service is certainly payable (€8 washing machine) but really useful. The welcome kit with Nespresso coffee and the related coffee, tea and tea machines is very pleasant.

The Novotel Angers Centre Gare Hotel is a clean and contemporary hotel, however we felt it lacked ambience. The hotel is located right next to the Angers Gare, and while it may be convenient for those travelling to the Novotel Angers Centre Gare Hotel by train, the hotel does offer car parking at the Angers Gare car park, which is operated by an independent operator, and the hotel does offer a discounted rate for the car park. The Novotel is within a 10-15 minute walk to the centre of Angers and about a 10 minute walk to Angers Castle, both of which are in two different directions of the hotel. The room we had was spacious, with a double bed, in-room safe, room-control air conditioning, very small wardrobe, fridge and kettle with basic tea and coffee. Sparkling water was the only beverage provided in the room and not plain water for the kettle, nor milk and only paper cups!! The block-out curtains worked well at night, although you could hear the train, however our room overlooked the train station. The bathroom had a bath step-in-shower and the shower pressure for the hot water was poor, and there was limited space on the bathroom vanity to spread out hair appliances etc. The in-room phone didn’t work, so we had to make our way down to reception to ask for an ironing board and iron. Bath robes and slippers weren’t supplied. The buffet breakfast was an additional cost, although it did offer a good selection of hot and cold, savoury and sweet menu, which was nice. If you're looking for a basic, clean and convenient no-frills hotel, then the Novotel Angers Centre Gare Hotel, could be for you!
