I booked a room at the Oak Meadows in St Helens Oregon to take my son to a fishing trip which we had to get up very early for the next day, the reasoning for booking the room. At about 1:30 a.m. the fire alarm went off and we were all told to leave the building, it took over two hours for them to realize that the batteries weren't changed in one of the fire detectors... sounds like a shortcut on maintenance. We ended up having to cancel our fishing trip because we were up from 1:30 in the morning on which is a lot earlier than we intended on getting up. Upon talking to the manager on-site the only thing they would give us would be a 15% room discount, which was like pulling teeth just to get that. Beware if you stay there as their maintenance practices aren't the best.

My daughter and I stay here whenever we go to Portland for a concert or an event. The rooms are always clean and the beds are comfortable. The only issue I had this time was the pillows were extremely hard. I tossed and turned all night and woke up with a kinked neck. Next time I will know to bring my own pillow.

The girl at the desk on late shoft was very accommodating. The room stunk when we first went in pretty bad so i sprayed alot of bath and body spray to make it through. There was a lady in jacuzzi that had open wounds on her legs and body..there was no smell of chlorine so we got out.

We took and chance and got off the I-5. What a find !
A great hotel with many amenities. Great staff, clean, quiet, comfortable. Nice pool. Good breakfast. Best value for the price and not inconvenient when driving south from north Washington and Oregon, or points beyond !

I got a room where their cable service was out, they got me into a clean room with cable service right away, I liked that you csn choose your level of housekeeping, the staff was very friendly, it was a little dated for some items like bathrooms, but it was clean and well kept. I will stay again.

Great service. Wonderful breakfast. Very friendly staff. The room was better than anticipated. The toliet was very low to the floor.

When we arrived the young lady behind the counter was swamped but soon enough got us checked in. Our room was clean and tidy and, right up until the toilet overflowed, we were comfortable. they had to move us to another room and, once there, our stay was good.
The breakfast was excellent and offered a wide variety of foods, including making your own waffles.
All in all the stay was very nice and we would stay here again.

Very nice place to stay, only complaint is when i reserved room it said it had bathrub and my room did not.
