Auberge au Poste de Traite

I did not want to write this review, but I feel I have no choice. This is a basic inn. It is clean, which is important, but the bed was very very uncomfortable. Breakfast was ok. It was in the mini fridge the day before. Boiled eggs, pate, some cold meats, and some small pastries. The problem: We could not sleep. The bed was painfully hard and if you move even a little to change position, it makes so much noise that you wake up your partner. Our room was beside the kitchen and smelled strongly of food. After a sleepless night, we decided to leave early. We booked and paid for 2 nights and were promised a refund for the second night. The owner told us she would process it that afternoon. My mistake was trusting her. It has been 2 weeks so far and they have not replied to repeated emails. They have completely ignored us and stolen our money. We would have endured another night and eaten another breakfast that we had paid for if we had known this would happen. I am very frustrated. They owe us $180 plus taxes.

Good food. No e server. Fun atmosphere. After we put our order in it took forever for the food to come. Club sandwich was pretty good. Smoked meat plugins and pulled pork plugins was good. Classic burger was good.

It is very quaint ,we had room number 8 it has it's own terrace overlooking the St Laurence river amazing !! The owner Stéphanie is also the chef and her skills are above average .All the dishes are prepared with great care ,so yummy and beautifully presented. Very clean,nice bedding ,comfortable mattress,and a full size mini fridge .🙂 Ah yes there is an ice-cream bar ,Stéphanie makes the ice cream herself ,just to die for .🙂

I was looking for a nice place to stay on the Ile d'Orleans and found this gem of a small inn. Our room (like all but one) was upstairs and there is no elevator. Nor is there air conditioning. That said, the beds were comfortable and everything was clean and nice. The location was great (right on Chemin Royal) but in a nice quiet area. We did not eat supper there (we were looking for something a bit more fancy) but breakfast as great.

We spent one night at this motel-like Auberge, on the second floor as the main is a restaurant/bar. The room was very clean. The decor was warm with knotty pine style furniture. Comfortable bed. Little storage space with a small sink in the room, outside the bathroom. Stephanie registered us and was very friendly and accommodating. A very good, full breakfast was included in the price. Parking was free, right in front of the Auberge. The terrasse has a great view of the river and at night was beautifully lit and the bar service was great.

un endroit des plus remarquable tout est conçu avec gout de la salle manger à la chambre a coucher à il faut le voire pour le croire et la l'accueil est super si vous passer par là faite le détour vous ne le regret pas les photos reflètes exactement ce que vous trouverez à l'intérieur quant à la cuisine un vrai régale

Très bonne adresse à l'ile d'Orléans, plats très goutu et personnels très souriants et agréable. Très belle vue de la terrasse du restaurant. J'ai manger un club sandwich au canard confit très très bon et j'ai pu goûter les queues de castors ( dessert )

Chambre inconfortable. Petit déjeuner infecte servi dans des boites et laisse dans la chambre. Avons quitté tôt le matin, pour quitter l’endroit au plus vite. Beaucoup trop cher pour ce qu l’on offre

L’hébergement est super propre. L’endroit est très mignon et idéal pour un voyage en amoureux. Le petit déjeuner est inclus et il y a une superbe terrasse de disponible. L’emplacement est idéal. Les employés sont très à l’écoute et prêt à aider!
