We booked our stay for August 2023. My girlfriend and I were so excited because we had a fantastic deal and it looked like this was a solid option for exploring the island in an all-inclusive setting with good enough reviews. Upon first trying to register, we were met with an error page that said our reservation could not be processed. We tried again and were then met with another error message saying our reservation was already made. We took a screenshot and contacted the hotel in the morning, since we had made the reservation on a Sunday and the office wasn't open until then. Upon making contact, the representative told us that yes, our reservation was indeed in the system and we just had to pay to confirm. The problem? The promotion running the day before had "expired" so we had to pay the full amount the system was reporting that day.. an almost 250 dollar difference. Why should we have to pay for internal problems on the hotel's part? Our reservation was noted as valid the day of the promotion. Shouldn't we be treated with respect and have our initial agreement honored? This is probably one of the most disappointing customer service experiences we have gone through honestly. Would not recommend, as we can only imagine what hotel staff might be like once we are actually there.
