The Jay, Autograph Collection

The Jay, was AMAZING! We went to San Francisco for my wife's 40th Birthday, and The Jay treated us like family. They were all very aware of her Birthday and made sure everything was perfect. We were very impressed with every aspect of this property from the valet to the front desk, to all of the employees walking around the property. Perfect location to celebrate any occasion. Thank you, and we can't wait to come back and visit the property.

We stayed at the Jay for 2 nights and were impressed by the accommodations. The room was well appointed with every amenity you could need. Everything was designed for comfort, but felt high end. We had drinks in the bar and enjoyed the patio and lounge. The location was fantastic. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in SF, we wished we could have stayed longer!

Amazing hotel. I stay at a lot of hotels but this was by far the cleanest. Its elegance and views were also amazing. The person working at the front desk when we arrived late in the evening was so welcoming that it was almost unreal! Just a wonderful experience overall.

This was a very very pleasant surprise! I had a work day trip to SF but with Juneteenth being a holiday I spent the night using award travel. I travel fairly frequently for work and often stay at The Proper, Sohohouse or similar so that is my expectation. The Jay exceeded them on every account. The rooms were spacious, well appointed, very clean and very zen yet sophisticated decor. I love that the windows open, however small for safety, but to feel the fresh bay area air made the nights sleep so restful. Everyone I met of their staff was wonderful, polite, helpful and seemed to truly care about offering excellent service. Rare these days. The gym had everything and more than expected for a hotel gym. Rowing, weight, treads, boxing etc. The location near the ferry building and most of downtown was great and felt very safe. I met a friend up on Union Street for dinner and it was a quick Uber away. I didn't dine at the property so I cannot comment on these services but the in-room coffee-tea service was perfect. Full disclosure I work for a very design-forward large property developer so not only did I have a wonderful personal experience I had a keen eye on detailing and The Jay didn't disappoint. I'm looking forward to returning to The Jay Autograph Collection.

I really enjoyed staying at this hotel. Service: Everyone we experienced gave great service. Room: I booked a double bedroom and it was very spacious. The bed was comfortable and I really loved all the lighting and plug in options near the bed. Only complaint was the water pressure in the shower was below average. Gym: I really liked the gym as well. It’s on the bottom floor, was clean and had everything I was looking for, for a strength workout. Restaurant / Bar: I had lunch at the restaurant and really enjoyed the burger. My visits to the bar were great as well.

The hotel was nice looking and reception was great. We enjoyed a free upgrade. It's a great location. But some very important details were missed. The main one being that the pillows were terrible. I literally stayed awake for an entire two hours because one pillow was too hard and the other pillow was like butter even folded. The bartender served me a non chilled $20 shot of tequila. It wasn't intentional because the first shot was chilled, so they definitely need to train their bar tender better.

This is one of my favorite hotels in SF. Awesome Gym, super new tech, the tvs have streaming service, and the views are better than you’d expect. The one thing I hate is that the floorboards on the beds light up when they sense motion. So if your comforter swings down, you’re going to have a lot of light in your face. But I’m torn because it also helps if you have to get up and go to the bathroom. So all in all, I’d still give them five stars. But only because I think there’s a way to turn off the floorboards that I never figured out… so maybe that’s on me.

Excellent and the best hotel in the city of San Francisco My booking reservation date got mixed up, but the check in staff was so helpful and quickly gave me phone number to call since we used Marriot Bonvoy. Everything was resolved under 20 mins. The bartender at the bar lounge on 3rd floor, I forgot her name, she suggested and made very good drinks for my husband and I. She was funny and sweet. We absolutely loved staying at The Jay Autograph Collection. It was very nice and clean hotel, super modern, staff was so nice, the location was perfect for our trip. We definitely will come back. Excellent hotel with beautiful renovations. I’m actually going to copy the walk in shower design they used. We only had breakfast and it was excellent. Asked for a recommendation for a restaurant for dinner and valet was spot on. I would imagine their food would have been good as well given the cleanliness and excellent staff. We were there to go on an Alaskan cruise and to our surprise were able to see our ship at port when we woke up.
