Minna Hotel

Family hols. First time in San Fran; have been to various destinations in Europe and USA. Me and wife very often get sponsored my companies (due to the nature of our work) for conferences and almost always enjoyed great hotels. We didnt have time to look around and choose hotels; just picked one we considered central. Hols from 1st to 7th July; late to book, many other hotels full and vacancies are priced at premium. So we booked Minna, 2 rooms (for our 2 sons), many other hotels didnt have free rooms in our date range. More like a hostel. Very basic rooms. Toilets and showers are outside but there are several in each floor. TV worked. Bed really comfortable. Breakfast very simple but we, for some reason, were not too unhappy. Location central. Price: very cheap. Our days were full; left rooms early and came back really late. Once back, showered, changed and fell asleep soundly. Minna gave us a good rest after each long day. No luxuries here, but plenty of comfy nights.

Wondering whether "Pontiac hôtel" was the name , but I'm guessing so. The property was not the perfect place to stay but for me it was the best option I had Jan 2013 as I've decided to visit Frisco without prior booking from my hometown in Mediterranean sea " Algeria". It was a friend of mine I accidentally Met during my layover in Paris Charles de Gaulle who booked it for me as last minute decision rather then hitting SF without booking. Thank YOU the kindness of the crew forgotten me the middle class hotel standards.

My family and I stayed in Minna Hotel for a few days sometime in 2016. This hotel is right at the heart of San Francisco and walking distance to all the main sights including the harbor. The staff are amazing and full of young people. One thing we did not expect is it is situated in noisy area of San Francisco where there are homeless people. The hotel itself is clean and has a gate with security features and the staff are great. One thing that stands out about this hotel is the honesty of the staff. My daughter left her iphone in the hotel and upon contacting them, they right away tried to find it. They stayed in communication with me and made sure that it was shipped back to us. I am very thankful to SUSAN S, who did over and above for us. Thanks again SUSAN. I have not forgotten about you and sorry it took me a while to say thank you.
