The hotel is nice. It face the beautiful ocean and with three lovely pools. The inclusive package includes breakfast lunch and dinner. The food are average but plentiful. the problem is the two oversized receptionistsin the front desk, They checked us in late was in helpful and rude. They seem more keen to serves American than us. The female keep reminding us we are on a “cheaper” package…The manager try hard to verify the situation, but their attitude really spoilt a great holiday. The room is spacious the staffs in the guest service and restaurants are good. They’re plenty of hotels in the area I’m sure they’ll offer a better experience.

The staff was fantastic! They were incredibly helpful and polite. My room was always well taken care of and very clean. This is an older resort but the cleanliness is top notch. The noise in the evenings was a bit loud but it was never very late into the night and afterwards it was peaceful and quiet. The grounds are beautiful and it really makes you feel like you’ve stepped into an oasis.

The staff was super friendly and helpful. The hotel and pools, etc were very well kept up. A few of the restaurants would be inexplicably closed so getting reservations was difficult sometimes.

The property is well-situated and our room was clean and spacious. However, when we arrived for a one-night stay before our 7-day cruise, we were told we could not dine at any of the a la carte restaurants because we needed to make a reservation at least 24 hours in advance. Thus, we made a reservation for dinner at Jicama, the Mexican Restaurant, for the second one-night stay we had booked on the back end of our cruse. My husband watched the staff member at the checking desk record our reservation by hand in a large book. Nevertheless, when we arrived 10 minutes early for our 6:30 reservation, the restaurant staff person informed us we had no reservation and the earliest they could accommodate us was at 9:00 pm. We said there must be some mistake. She told us to take it up with the reception desk. We did. While the attendant was at least polite and tried to find our earlier reservation, he called in a manager who, by his questioning, suggested we had never made our reservation and then informed us that the earliest reservation available was at 8:30 at a different a la Carter restaurant, which we could take or leave. Although my husband and I were both exhausted, we took the only slot available.
We had paid extra for “premium” room and service because I had read reviews indicating it was worth the difference in cost. Suffice it to say that we did not have a “premium” experience when it came to something as simple as the hotel fulfilling our dinner reservation.

Need to separate the kids under 12 to a different area. Too many parents who do care what their kids are doing

Property was decent could use som updates in some areas like the sky bar and we did not have hot water for a shower I called to let them know but it never got fixed so lukewarm water it was and it was cold weather at the time. Other than that food was great and room and property was very clean and comfortable

Everything was great, first thing I want to say I have been using the Barcelo hotels for a few trips, in Vallarta, Cancun and now in Cabo the problem was I made a reservation with one king bed superior room, sea view(great view by the way) but when I check in they gave us a room with two full beds, maybe it’s not a big deal, but yeah it it’s for me, so congratulations Barcelo you lost a loyal guest.

Would have been nice if another restaurant would have been available. The seaside restaurant was closed for renovations. The sushi restaurant was only open one day a week. So really, there were only two restaurants operational for six days of the week.
