It is near the central market. Free nice breakfast though it is the same everyday. There is an elevator in the building but was on maintenance on the day I checked out. Chaotic surroundings. Unbearable sewage smell in room. Despite near the bus terminal for airport bus, it is not easy to get to the bus stop outside airport to board one. Keep your valuables tight when you are outside the hotel. Saw a tourist’s valuable being snatched and the quiet elderly man chased after the young thief, to no avail.

Hotel Novo is well located. The staff were friendly and helpful. However, my experience was that it is overpriced for what it is. The building and facilities are tired and showing their age. The 'included' breakfast was ordinary (contrast with my experiences beforehand in Ecuador, and afterwards in Nicaragua). Hotel Novo is located within a sea of overpriced products. I arrived late and had few meal options; I ate at McDonalds around the corner, where I paid nearly AU$20 for a hamburger and drink. I told a Tica, from Libera (CR), next day, of my experiences, and he simply wouldn't belive the prices in 'downtown' San Jose. I will strive to avoid going back to San Jose. I will plan my next trip to fly into Liberia (where we had good lunch next day for a sane [about] AU$7). Overall, for a country with, supposedly, one quarter the 'average' income of Australia, prices in San Jose are dearer than what I pay in Australia. I won't go back!

Hotel Novo is in a great location, very convent for shops and bus stops. The room was big and had good air conditioning and strong WIFI. The staff were very helpful and offered a good traditional breakfast. We found the accommodation difficult to find so would recommend using 'Maps.Me'. Overall a pleasant stay.

Sehr sauber und geräumig (mit Kühlschrank). Rezeptionisten sehr freundlich. Frühstück ist eher bescheiden ausgefallen. Lage ist sehr gut, in der Nähe der Eunkaufsstrassen und des Marktes, ebenfalls in der Nähe von zahlreichen Bus Bahnhöfen.

L'hôtel NOVO est situé dans le centre ville. Il est à proximité du terminal des bus TUASA qui dessert l'aéroport ( et cela n'est pas négligeable, 1,5 euros par personne au lieu de 40 euros pour un taxi). J'ai aimé : Le Prix, WI-FI, eau chaude, literie, emplacement pas loin bus aéroport. Je n'ai pas aimé : Le quartier un peu louche dès que la nuit tombe, l'ensemble de l'établissement est vieillot - Emplacement beaucoup trop bruyant car en centre-ville coincé entre bruits de la rue qui commence le matin à 4h30 et le dancing à 50mètres toutes fenêtres ouvertes jusqu'à 2h00 du matin, le petit déjeuner très léger, équipement très vieillot. Chambre sans fenêtre. En résumé prix pas cher pour une nuit 47 euros mais ne compter récupérer de votre décalage horaire.

Nossa experiência foi muito boa no Hotel Novo. Camas confortáveis, quarto amplo, bom atendimento (cordial e solícito), café da manhã típico (à escolha), localização central em San José. Voltaríamos com certeza!

Muy lindo hotel, limpio, con bar donde te dan el desayuno y pones comer algunos platos. Ubicado estratégicamente a media cuadra del comienzo de la peatonal y muy cerca de todas las estaciones de bus que parten hacia distintas zonas del país. Muy buena atención del personal. Muy amables las chicas de recepción. Precio muy accesible. Muy recomendable.

Cet hôtel n'est pas situé dans un quartier très invitant, mais si vous devez y dormir pour accéder aux différents terminaux d'autobus c'est parfait. Restaurant à même l'hôtel, déjeuner bien. Lit divinement confortable. Par contre nous avions une chambre sans fenêtre, la salle de bain a définitivement besoin d'amour.
